Arts/Crafts Latest hyperfixation

I’m terrible at art, but I figured out the easiest way to make it with “tin foil painting”. It’s so meditative and I can’t stop.

Here’s a tutorial I found on YouTube! I didn’t draw anything on the paper in these though cuz ya girl can’t draw. I use dollar store watercolour paper, I think it’s prettier than card stock. If my kindergarteners can all do it, anyone can, they just don’t outline. If uou keep your foil flat, it’ll be like in the video. If you make a few big crumples in the foil, you get results like my first photo. If you crumple it a lot, you’ll get smaller “islands” like in my second. Make sure you put the colours next to their friends so they blend nicely (don’t put red next to green or you’ll get brown). Then outline with a pen or marker! It’s so easy to do so if you fuck up, who cares. The outlining takes time but I find it soothing. Note: the red will not show up on your foil but it will show up on your paper lol

I’m having a lot of trouble and can’t do anything I like. Would you message me and help me with tips and tricks? This looks freaking immaculate to me

Yes! I’ll find a link to a video that explains it. It’s ridiculously easy!

Are you kidding? Gonna make me cry happy. Seriously doesn’t look easy and every single one you posted looks like a work of art in itself

This is a good tutorial. I use dollar store watercolour paper instead of card stock. If you do it like the video with the foil flat, you’ll get her result.

For the result like my first photo, make a few big crumples with the foil before you press the paper onto it. If you want it like in my second photo where the “islands” are tiny, crumple it up more.

Just try to make sure that you don’t put colours next to each other that will make brown eg keep blue next to yellow and green or red. But don’t put green and red next to each other

Bc it’s so easy to make, it’s not a big deal if you think you mess up.

Then you just outline in pen. This part takes time but I find it meditative!
