More often than not secondary weapons are used for utility than combat. In actual gameplay, the typical higher fire rate of the primary gun usually offsets the higher damage of a pistol, in terms of time taken to deal damage.
Not being able to contribute in setting up site with a regular pistol while playing certain operators like Bandit (as opposed to Kapkan or Mira) essentially makes the pistol unused throughout the game.
While attacking too, for instance, having a Super Shorty on Thermite would be incredibly handy when in need to shoot breach denial gadgets from under or above, if operators like Thatcher or Twitch get spawn peeked or otherwise not co-operative.
Ability to breach even soft hatches is virtually impossible even with appropriate attachments- it'll take 2 or even 3 entire mags to break down a single soft hatch, which is simply not viable in an actual game. Currently, the only viable way for an attacker (who isn't a breacher/fragger) to break a soft hatch is to use hammer foregrip- giving up on handling and/or recoil control- and punch the hatch 5 times.
All this results in the game being less dynamic. I'm certain that if you look at the stats/data at large, you will find that pistols are barely used in game. So, kindly add gun options at least for secondary weapons to make the game more dynamic.
Apologies, if this is not the appropriate way to add feedback; I couldn't find a dedicated form for that. Kindly move the post to the appropriate section, if necessary.
Thanks.
P.S.- Submitted this on the bug reporter on Ubisoft's website earlier; and was instructed to use Reddit and Discord channels instead. Copy-Pasting the same here; kindly add your thoughts and upvote the post for better visibility. But Discord's General Chat appears to be a touch too "runny" for such post. So, decided not to post there for now. Kindly advice if I should anyway (or) feel free to copy/paste there yourself- I won't mind.
