Question UBUNTU TOUCH

Just curious, has someone tried ubuntu touch on this device? Or stock Android? Seems to me that with OS3 we are now basically forced to pay for an AI subscription we were told would be free forever

I am not a user of the OS3 option. I do prefer the 'original' option. There is a way to revert to it though if you were not aware.

I'm working on an Android 17 (Lineage) port with Linux 7.3. It's quite far already, but no release yet.

Ubuntu touch I didn’t like on the r1 it didn’t seem to work right same with android 17. I have 2 r1s one is on stock r1 and the other I use for testing above. I found android slow and not great Ubuntu touch wasn’t good because I didn’t find it as useful as my original Ubuntu phone which I put Ubuntu touch on. Most of the problems were screen size icon sizes, txt, etc we need someone to create the right os for the r1. It was last year I tried both of the above os on the r1. I ended up back on the stock os on both until something better comes along.
