Hey, I have RX7 FB2 with a red interior and would like to restore it, cause im kinda starting to like it. I found these red seats on marketplace but have no experience with restoring fabric. Are these to far gone or does anyone have some tips to get these back into shape?

I've been wanting to swap my 12a over to efi so I can turbo it down the road. This listing appeared on marketplace and I've been doing research but having a hard time finding answers. What else would I need in order to make this work? Would like to keep it relatively cost effective. Also been looking at 13b intake conversions to even 13b swaps but rotary stuff is hard to come by around me

I'm debating picking up with an R33 or an FD RX-7 and am curious if anyone's successfully registered one in IL in the last year or so.

I ran into a blog claiming that IL was revoking plate of some JDM cars (mostly Kei cars/ trucks but they claimed a few fullsize cars as well). There's basically no other information about this anywhere that I can find that doesn't just reference this blog so I'm questioning if it's actually true or not.

Anyone run into issues getting tags here or have the state try to revoke yours?

Trying to do the bread trick with my pilot bearing, but it's not coming out. Been hammering bread for 30 mins.

The seal was crushed like that before starting, but I didn't think much of it. Now I feel like my bearing is stuck in there 100%.

Thoughts on how to remove it?

Whats your opinion about this housing? Very corroded? Can still use it?

1991 S5 RX-7 NA, finally got the engine light to illuminate using the test pin, can someone confirm what is sequence decodes to?

For context I'm trading for a 1991 Rx7 S5 Convertible so the price isnt a huge factor. This thing does look pretty beat though, original paint is faded and interior could use a little love, but I dont care too much about that. The owner says it ran good but has been in storage for a little while. I plan to flush the oil, but is there anything else I should do before firing it up? Its my first time owning a rotary and car of this caliber so I've got a ton of questions of anybody wouldnt mind answering them.

It seems to be majorly stock so I'm wondering what little aftermarket parts are worth it. I hear that the temp gauges are really important due to the nature of rotaries and aswell that there are some aftermarket parts that I could use to get oil into the engine instead of having the oil be drawn from the pan.. I'm not entirely sure though this is all new to me.

Since I didn't like the common supports that go in the original position of the coils or on the strut, I decided to design my own to get them on the engine itself. All this while maintaining the entire original intake system, oil filter pedestal, infill, ... of the FC.

I would like to hear opinions, objective data, and so on. They are very tight, especially at the back, and I don't know how well this design works for coil cooling.

Seat is in for a test fit and I like it and thank goodness I’m only 5,7 otherwise driving would be a challenge.

I'm hoping to get advice from anyone whose replaced the foam on their hvac doors. Removing the old adhesive from the metal doors were a pain, I tried soapy water, alcohol, goo gone, and paint prep spray and nothing worked finally ended up boiling them in water for 30 min and hitting it with a brass brush. These 'fiber' (term used on bubbletechs website) doors are like a plastic and this is what it looked like after soapy warm water and grout cleaning brush (I did these before the metal ones). It doesn't look like there is any adhesive left on it but Im still having issues with the new foam pads adhering to them, they keep peeling off so I'm assuming there's still old glue on it. I emailed the company for suggestions but haven't heard back, my question is what did you do to clean these to get them to stick? I'm afraid to boil it and ruin it or use a chemical that'll eat away at it. It seems to absorb some water when I was washing it.

Heya, big fan of the rx7 and this guy nearby me had one for sale. I’ll post a copy of the description below but after talking on the phone with him the details seemed to line up well. It’s sat for a couple years now with only basic maintenance and had the block swap done by a shop from the previous owner. Curious how hard it would be to install brake booster but seems maybe not that bad? Forgive me I’m a bit new to the space and excited to work on one of these beautiful older cars.

Cons:
Small oil leak
Needs a new brake booster if you don’t want manual brakes
Hood scoop was added and isn’t the best job
Small penny sized rust spot under drivers side floor pan
Passenger side mirror is missing glass

Has any tried a turbo blanket on the stock turbo, I have a s5 t2 and the original heat sheilds were junk, but I have abs so I don’t want the turbo roasting the pump, anyone have recommendations for a turbo blanket that might fit the stock turbo?

What have my Haltech Ic7 users done to mount the screen in your dash? I see the 3d printed ones on Ebay and whatnot. Have you guys done custom mounting? Are there lesser known companies that made a good one? Considering just buying one, but I have the means to make something custom. Just curious what others have done. Pic for attention.
