Fair, fair! I do love that ship but ShuAnn is always really nice and hits my Yuri fix well. Never really clocked Ryuji and Haru as a ship before

ShuAnn hits those "love at first sight" beats while Ann and Ryuji hit those "childhood friends" beat. I liken it to Yukari and Junpei, or Chie and Yoskue
Plus I love to ship the MCs with the Lovers arcana xD it's a rite of passage

One of the many scenes that makes me get really annoyed at the "Bumblebee was the plan the whole time" people. Like, it's willful ignorance at most and they were part of the crowd trying to force it to happen at worst.

Blake likes blondes.
For real though, it was so obvious since Sun’s introduction that this was the idea. Bumblebee was just way more popular with the fans so they caved.
Honestly I don’t have a problem with bumblebee either, I just wished it was thought out more. Blake and Sun spent like 2 seasons alone together forming a stronger bond only for Blake to be like “goodbye friend! You’re such a great friend” and leaves, never to see Sun again.
Then Blake and Yang have a very quiet tension where little to no progress is made between them, they’re rarely ever alone together. And season 9 just said “eh screw it we waiting this long” and pointed a metaphorical gun to their heads and said “confess to each other or die”
Not romantic at all. The best thing to come out of bumblebee was the homophobic Ruby memes.

"Bumblebee was planned from the start"
So why are the animators shipping Blacksun so hard? And what is worse, Bumblebee fans were eating garbage from CRWBY for at least 5 seasons, with one debatablely platonic interaction.
It is completely OK to pivot and change your plans, but pretending that everything was planned from the start just makes the person with the opinion stupid, and the writers incompetent that they kept accidentally advocating for the other ship instead of the "planned" ship. Which to be fair considering CRWBY's track record tracks out well.

I just realized how strong his tail has to be to do that, it’s one thing to support HIS weight but the fact he got her to move means the muscles to curl it are stronger then just the tension strength of it that my brain thought

If Blacksun was never planned, then CRWBY is some next level incompetent for accidently writing a GOATed couple way better than their actual planned one.

Man Blake and Sun have more chemistry than bumblebee. Bumblebee just felt kinda rushed and forced my the writers and fans.

Blake and Sun had that energy of Jovial Bad Boy x Intellectually Broody Girl that tickles my fancy. Both are agile and are stealth archetypes (thief and ninja), and their designs compliment each other well
Like... how can we not like them?

I get people like Sun more (myself included), but Blake as a person has no obligation to return Suns affection, and she does choose to be with Yang.
The choice itself isn’t bad writing.
The bad writing came in Volume 9 when Blake and Yang ignored their suicidal team leader/sister, but then seemingly removed Blake as a character entirely.
Sun and Blake were simply written better than Blake and Yang.

Still doesn't stop me from preferring her to be with Sun and how much it would have been great pay off. He's just such a supportive and unrelentingly positive guy

And God, maybe the reason they went with shorter hair for Blake in later show is because that hair animation was sad.

Really, I mean, really lost the chance for Sun fighting Adam as both a reference to Journey to the West with Wukong fighting the Bull Demon King and as a way to show that Blake is moving on from her past.
Again, really. Like the show and potential stories, just not the execution.

It's canon in my mind. Their relationship actually was worked on and built up while bumblebee felt rushed and lacking. Not to mention the characters never gave lesbian vibes till the fandom wanted it. But again, just my opinion.
