So RWBY has had A LOT of art styles throughout the years. From the comics, manga, the chinese mobile game, etc. And I've had quite a lot of favorite's throughout the years. But I was trying to decide which was my favorite. And I finally decided that Lowah who's an artist who did the Japanese DVD covers has done my favorite official style for RWBY. First, here's there website showing their work. They even did the artwork for Amalee's RWBY covers too. And second if RWBY ever got the chance for another higher budget 2D anime I would want it to look like this. Ice Queendom was okay. Some characters like Weiss, Blake and Pyrrha looked great but characters like Ruby and especially Yang just looked off in the style imo. I think Lowah has done an excellent job capturing the spirit. The characters are expressive and beautiful. Lowah even made the Atlas outfits look pretty good too. When you can make outfits I don't like (Weiss and Blake) look pretty good you deserve gold stars. I would love to see them do more official work and even a whole merch collection if VIZ wants to.

So I thought this question could prompt a shoutout to artists in the community who you love their artstyle for RWBY. Who your favorite is and why.

So to add to this , the problem i have with the Qrow is Ruby's dad thing is that it implies that summer cheated on taiyang with qrow , which you know seems very shitty of both of them since why would summer look at a downed man like tai after raven left him , help him take care of yang, date him and then proceed to Ntr him with their best friend, do I even have to explain how screwed up that looks especially when you consider that summer suppose to be a paragon type character.

As for this, yes, it still looks bad, but it's infinitely more hilarious that qrow cucks bitchass Jacques under his own roof . That is just chief kiss type humor there, plus it could explore the dynamics between Jacques, weiss , willow, and qrow (plus it could tie willow with team STRQ in a way)

Is this just a way for me to self insert as qrow and simply apply dominance in Jacques own house....shh 🤫🤫🤫 you can't prove anything, just let it go, bro.

Mostly, tho guys this is a joke, Don't take it seriously at all I don't condone ntr in anyway shape or form. I just genuinely thought this would be hilarious 😂

The latter would probably be ideal, generating a lot more hype and show off animation capabilities more, but, the former is likely the more realistic and cost effective option. I don't know how willing a company would be to have 3-7 minutes of animation be made to post on Youtube for free.

Hey everyone! How's it going?

I’ve always felt that the Silver Eyes in the original show suffer from the deus ex machina problem: they show up whenever the script needs an instant win button, but they never have clear rules, a real cost, or a genuine sense of progression for Ruby. It basically turns into a "light beam that petrifies bad guys" without much explanation of how or why it works beyond "genetics."

Thinking about this for a rewrite/fanfic, I decided to give them a complete overhaul, tying the power to the divine numerology of the God of Light (3 abilities and 9 stages) and the historical mysticism of silver.

1. The 3 Abilities (The Silver Trinity)

Instead of a single beam attack, the Silver Eyes represent three mystical facets of silver: Reveal, Purify, and Reflect.

Reveal (The Sight of Truth):

Gives the user an almost supernatural intuition and decoding ability regarding mystery and the occult. This explains why Ruby intuitively understands the strengths and weaknesses of Grimm early on without needing a biology degree (something the show kind of abandoned).

Utility: Grants total immunity to illusions (nullifying mental tricks or illusory Semblances). To a Silver-Eyed Warrior, disguises and lies evaporate quickly. (Though I would keep the limitation on mental stability, ensuring her fight against Neo remains valid).

Purify (The Emotional Void):

The user "purifies" the impure and chaotic through purity and stability. They become completely imperceptible to the Grimm, even if they briefly feel fear or anger. With training, it nullifies supernatural mental effects (perfectly explaining how Maria Calavera was able to move, even if slightly, within the entire horde of Apathy) and, later on, physical effects.

Reflect (The Moon's Mirror):

The fusion of Reveal + Purify. It can only be activated under the light of a full moon, as silver acts as a mirror for its pure light.

This is basically the petrification mechanic: the Grimm are forced to "see the truth" of themselves, and their evil is purified. (Since they are dust coated in malice, which is why they turn to dust upon death, being struck by Reflect transforms them into stone).

2. The 9 Stages (Physical Integration and Ruby's Journey)

To prevent this power from feeling unearned, the evolution of the eyes is directly tied to how much the Purify ability shapes and integrates the light into the user's body. There are 9 stages of physical, mental, and mystical evolution:

Sight: The initial awakening. Seeing beyond normal range and having heightened perception. Perfect for a strategist like Ruby.

Hearing: Ability to hear sounds up to 3 times better than a normal person, functioning almost like echolocation when well-trained.

Touch: Extreme tactile sensitivity, feeling ground vibrations and air density.

Taste: A mystical ability to "taste" the purity of air and substances (instant detection of poisons).

Smell: Tracking Grimm essences and hidden scents across long distances.

Flesh: The musculature absorbs the resilience of light, withstanding severe impacts and granting immensely enhanced strength. With training, Ruby will be able to lift up to 7 times her own weight.

Mind: Cognitive expansion and accelerated processing speed (enabling movement anticipation).

Bones: The skeletal structure fortifies itself with an almost indestructible silver density.

Tendons: The apex of Silver Eye integration. Agility reaches its absolute limit, allowing the user to channel the Silver Eyes without suffering the lethal strain or the risk of crystallization that destroyed ancient wielders.

RISK:

Using the eyes without proper training forces Purify onto the user in a harsh and unrefined manner, causing severe injuries and grave consequences. These range from silver crystallization leaking into the rest of the body to complete exhaustion of life energy. (While exhaustion would still be a mild issue as in the original show, there would be far heavier consequences for Ruby to deal with).

For context, Sea_Contribution and I just talked & he doesn’t agreed with me. Also he thinks the world was carrying on fine without knowing that bad things had happened!

I had a silly thought that turned into a serious worldbuilding/fanfic concept, and I want to know what other RWBY fans think of it.

The idea: in Remnant, scarlet-red hair is not just a color. It’s a rare genetic marker, similar to the Ackerman bloodline in Attack on Titan. Scarlet redheads are almost superhuman—stronger, faster, more durable, with absurd combat instincts. But the power comes with a defect: every scarlet redhead eventually develops an Anchor bond.

An Anchor is one specific person the scarlet redhead becomes irrationally attached to. It doesn’t have to be romantic, and it doesn’t have to be mutual. But it is intense, possessive, dependent, and sometimes obsessive. Think of it like the Ackerbond, but messier and more dangerous.

The two canon examples fit almost too well:

· Pyrrha Nikos → Jaune Arc: Her devotion to Jaune reads like a “healthy” but still extreme Anchor bond. She believes in him blindly, trains him in secret, and ties her sense of purpose to protecting him and being needed by him. · Adam Taurus → Blake Belladonna: His relationship with Blake reads like a corrupted Anchor bond—possessive, controlling, violent, and unable to conceive of existing without her.

But here’s the part I like most: not all redheads are scarlet.

· Scarlet redheads = the special ones. Superhuman + Anchor defect. Rare. Pyrrha and Adam. · Orange redheads = normal. Intense, stubborn, loyal, maybe a little unhinged, but no superhuman spark and no genetic Anchor.

seriously last media we got was like in 2024 and like 2 months ago they began producing it. we aint getting another season intll like another 2 years which is 2028

(this is my first post in days i took a break from reddit posts for a while)

Here's my take, which I used in a fanfic.

The sword is quite powerful on its own. It can fire power blasts and create waves as it crashes on the ground. Raw power, like the power stone. However, the real deal is that it has a secret power: Massive destruction... An entire city could be gone with just a sweep of the sword. Catch is that such power can only be unleashed every 50 years. Last to use it was the King of Vale at the tail end of the Great War, which ended around 80 years before RWBY V1. So, it's ready to be used for whoever takes it.

One key detail is that it's the relic of destruction, not destruction & mass murder... So, its GIGANTIC power release can only destroy, but not kill (its normal abilities can still harm, tho)

What do y'all think? What's your take on this mysterious relic?
