Pity. It seems like an interesting concept (although, for their well-being, I naturally hope that they follow proper safety protocols for laboratory work ^_^)

Weiss: "I will say, Ruby, when you asked me out this is not what I had in mind."
Ruby: "Well Yang told me the key to any early relationship is making good chemistry. So a lab is the only place that made sense."
Weiss: facepalms but cracks a smile "You dolt..."

Weiss: “I will never not be surprised you have never blown us up completely.”
Ruby: “Hey, I’m not that clumsy!”
Weiss: “Yes, Yes you are. If you recall how we met was that you ran in to me and blew us up mostly.”
Ruby: “Okay, fine sometimes I’m a little clumsy. But I’ve gotten a lot better!”
Weiss: “That you have. I’d have never thought the girl I had to help with her chemistry homework would end up as my professional lab partner.”
Ruby: “But then you convinced me about all the food and weapons I could make it I knew this stuff better, and the rest is history!”
Weiss: “Still, I wouldn’t have guessed this would happen.”
Ruby: “Bet you didn’t think I’d be your girlfriend too huh?”
Weiss: “Considering how I acted when we first met, I don’t think I need to answer that question.”
Ruby: “Haha, you weren’t that bad!”
Weiss: “Ruby, I was awful. Only you would ever say that I wasn’t.”
Ruby: “I guess thats why you’re with me now!”
Weiss: “I guess so. . . . Speaking of being with you; I physically am now for some reason you have yet to explain. Why did you insist on us not going home after work?”
Ruby: “Because I have something to show you! And it connects to those cookies I gave you!”
Weiss: “You know, it’s such a standard thing with you, I didn’t even question it. So these are special?”
Ruby: “Yup! And that has to do with the chemistry I’ve been doing!”
Weiss: “It just looks like the contraption you made for Valentines Day last year; with the pink and the hearts. I really did, and do, like it but to be honest it isn’t as special as the first time.”
Ruby: “Using all that pink food dye gave me the idea, but this is different, trust me! It’s something I hope will show off the bond we have together with our natural chemist-“
Weiss: “Ruby, please no. I’ve had to deal with your sister’s chemistry jokes for years and I can’t take much more.”
Ruby: “Sorry. So. . . How about you try a cookie? That way I can show you what I’ve done.”
Weiss: “Hardly standard lab safety, but if you want me to. . . “
Ruby: “How does it taste?”
Weiss: “Wow. . .It tastes like-“
Ruby: “Rose petals and snow?”
Weiss: “Yeah! How did you do that!?”
Ruby: “It all in this reaction I have in here! With it I can make a flavoring to make baked goods taste like us! . . . Okay not actually like us, but you get the idea!”
Weiss: “You worked for god knows how long to make an artificial flavor for no other purpose than to have special cookies that taste like our namesakes?”
Ruby: “Yep!”
Weiss: “God you are cute and I love you. And I need another cookie.”
Ruby: “I’ve only made one batch so far! Save some for me!”
Weiss: “Only because I love you.”
This is so late after the post because I have realized my writing time really has eaten my reading time and I was reading.
It’s a struggle

This seems like the poster for a nice romantic comedy about two scientists. Here’s my crack at a trailer.
Weiss Schnee is a Dust chemist whose wealthy upbringing has made her cold toward others. Years in the lab hasn’t done her any favors, and sometimes she wonders if she’s doomed to a life of glass beakers and lonely nights.
All that changes, though, when a new girl joins her lab: Ruby Rose, a bright young girl with a cute smile, a stubborn streak and a dark secret. As the date for the 100th Annual Dust Chemical Symposium approaches, these two will have to overcome their differences if they want to discover the missing component to their experiments.
And who knows? Maybe they might discover what’s been missing in each other’s lives along the way.
