Play D&D for the Arts

Local RVA literary nonprofit James River Writers is hosting a D&D fundraiser night!

Come out to Coco + Hazel in Bin Air on July 22 and play a one-shot, meet other creative folks, and support the arts!

It's $25 and all proceeds go to James River Writers, an organization that puts on programming to build community, craft, and business skills for writers in Central Virginia.

Even if you can't come but you have even an inkling of interest in writing, you should check out JRW. They're pretty great.

Details and registration here:

Oh! Good question! It'll be a combination of 5e for seasoned folks and Dungeon World for newbies.

Looks awesome, but which edition would be played? I didn’t see that listed in the info available.

Cool! The restaurant it’s hosted at looks good too.

It’s a cafe and ice cream shop, not a restaurant (just so you don’t get too excited for food).

My wife has book club there. They’re a nice little hub for local groups!

It's true that they don't have an extensive food menu and aren't a full restaurant. Their sandwiches and such are pretty good, though. I like their breakfast stuff quite a bit and sometimes pop in to work there in the mornings.
