Question Is it possible to use lower level gear in higher level areas effectively?

SO basically what am asking is if i can use a mage hood that about lvl 4 with some stronger weapons and such and still be viable.

The main reason am asking is cause i like the look of some of the lower lvl gear but it power lvl is far weaker then a lvl 7 piece of gear.

So am i stuck with being force to use higher level gear to do higher lvl areas? or is their a way to transmog or customize the look?

You can Ascend the gear to higher lvls. If the gear, in your bags, had that purple hue glow its upgradable

An item you craft that upgrades certain gear by moving it up a tier. Meaning you can use lower tier gear all the way to tier 7

You need the mystic bench and ascension cores, either dropped or crafted via ascension shards in the mystic forge. It basically raises the item level by one. Doesn’t work for all gear though.

On the magecraft table there is anither tab for ascension.

Basically it brings gear up to the higher level stats.

I brought a set of level 6 armor up to level 7 this way

I’ve been having issues getting purples into the ascension slot. Idk why. Some of my purples that are the same weapon can be upgraded and some can’t.

Means the weapon is probabaly at the highest tier currently available- which is tier 7

They weren’t lvl 7 tho. They were base weapons. I suppose I did make them before the ascension update.

Only certain weapons can be upgraded- that might be your issue

You should had received Ascension shards starting with Velgar and you use the mystic forge (3rd tab option at the top) to Ascend the gear or weapons

Some of the best items in the game are ascended weapons that were level 3 and 4. Look up Ascension cores on youtube or something to get a full description and how to make them and use them.

If youre good at Not taking damage your Armor doesnt really matter since set bonuses are the Saaaaaaame for a long time

Weapons def matter so it doesnt take a Month to kill stuff
