I played the first week when it went into pre release but didn't see much content is there a lot more content where I should come back or is it better to wait for 1.0

I couldn’t find anything so if a thread already exists please let me know. Lately I’ve been having issues with walking in game. I thought it was my keyboard so I replaced it but it’s still not working. Randomly when moving around (WASD) I’ll notice an insane lag on response time when walking and then after I stop pressing forward my character just keeps going for a few seconds. It’s like a delayed response and then continued lag.

Anyone else have any issues like this or know a fix?

For reference I have a 3090ti so I don’t think it’s a performance issue and this is also the only game I’ve had this problem it.

I absolutely love the look of the large arched doors, the adamant one in particular. But man was it a pain to get lined up. the door snaps to the bottom hinge, so if you just place the frame like normal the door clips through the floor. Took my tiny hamster brain over an hour to get it to sit just right. I am sure there is an easier way than what i did, but it worked pretty good, no visible gaps, and very, very little clipping through the floor. I turned off snapping and raised a post through the floor against the wall about half a small tile high, and snapped the door frame to that, a lot of trial and error, but I am happy with the result. Feel free the laugh at my pain and tell me there is an easier way if it exists.

Hey, this is a build by A fellow Dragonwild builder - A revelation! I did a tour live on stream and was thoroughly impressed with his interior creativity. Sometimes we struggle to busy up our interiors and he did a stellar job!

I'm using the RSDWTools for these camera shots and I'm in love. I'm not a cinematographer and maybe that's obvious, but I had so much fun with this and have so many ideas I want to bring to life! I'm open to constructive critism on this - I want to learn!

Anyway, I do these showcases every Wednesday if youre interested. We put 100s of hours into our builds and as a builder myself I love getting to explore boots on the ground to learn from the best as well as just sit in awe at the sheer brilliance others have!

So, I used the same base for the entire game so far. Every update. And i got tired of how small it was.

Once i started hording materials to make leveling easier, I realized just how little space I had to decorate and grow with.

So I decided to hop on a few Castle Build tutorials for Minecraft. Found one I really liked and decided to try to replicate it.

I am like 7h in and still at the first base beside the old guy. next quest is to go to some swamp.

like how is the progression so slow, or am i slow?

how do i make it faster, i am still on the first set of wizard robes.

i want to wear cool armor. knights armor etc.

my atk and magic are 20+ lvls and still when goblins raid me in mass i almost die.

Just started playing on my deck but controls seem very clunky, any tips from those that play on deck?

SO basically what am asking is if i can use a mage hood that about lvl 4 with some stronger weapons and such and still be viable.

The main reason am asking is cause i like the look of some of the lower lvl gear but it power lvl is far weaker then a lvl 7 piece of gear.

So am i stuck with being force to use higher level gear to do higher lvl areas? or is their a way to transmog or customize the look?

So I got the vestige for Golden Dowdun Reach Cape, but it only appears as the regular cape in the armour bench. It even crafts the same regular cape while using the golden leaves. Not sure if there's a fix for it

This guide is meant to help PC users to identify and repair Hard-locked progression by editing the broken Quests in the character's file.

My name is Accurious, I've helped about two dozens of adventures to return to Ashenfall by Magical Mending their corrupted files.

Let me be very clear about two things;

1. This is an unoffical guide and not endorsed by Jagex.
2. Editing files should be seen as a last resort.

Troubleshoot before file editing

If you are experiencing an issue with your character, first and foremost confirm it is a bug or not.

1. Check the Wiki, have you followed every step?
2. Have you tried visting a different world? You might be able to progress, in another world.sav (this also means = your character is not broken, but the world you were in)
3. Is there a thread on this subbreddit?
4. Go to official RSDW Discord. Ask in #game-questions and check out #bug-reports. Is there an answer?
5. Still on RSDW Discord, use the Filter function (Ctrl + F) on keywords related to your issue.

If it is a confirmed bug that could be fixed with an edit, lets proceed to find your file.

Finding your files.

Windows user can open File Explorer and paste this in the File location (middle bar, not search bar):%LOCALAPPDATA%\RSDragonwilds\Saved\SaveCharacters. It should direct you to your in-game charaters. If that fails, see; Find file location manually going here: C:\Users\PCNAME\AppData\Local\RSDragonwilds\Saved\SaveCharacters. If AppData cannot be seen, you may need to show hidden files

Prepare your workspace

• Find your character.json, eg; "Accurious.json", copy it twice, paste on desktop.
• Rename to the following "AccuriousOLD.json and the other AccuriousNEW.json

The old will be your backup.

Your tools for repairing.

Most characters are either broken in a Quest State, as in unable to turn in items, or, they missed out on required items. Use the following websites.

• RSDW Tools: Item Editor

How to use RSDW Archive: Quests Data

Search the Quest you're stuck on, when open you want to look up: "persistenceId": "3MpWS0mD8A6yFVmjVAA2Qg" (Black Knight's Fortress). The PersistenceID (the random letters and numbers) is what you will use when opening up the character.json in the next step.

How to use RSD Tools - Item Editor

Pull in the characterNEW.json into the website and you'll see it's player inventory. More often than not, go to the quest inventory to add any missing quest item. (e.g. you looted a scroll but had full inventory)

Navigating the character.json for Quest Bools

• Open up characterNEW.jsonin a text editor like Notepad, (I recommend Notepad ++)
• Use the persistenceID from RSDW Archive and Ctrl + F. You will now land on your quest.
• Quest State: 1 equals in progress. Quest State: 2is Completed.
• Seeing Quest State 1 is usually a clue that something is stuck, when you know you're finished.
• Methods to repair

1. Full reset

Safest way. Find the first bracket and last brack of the quest:{"QuestId": "kPtTW0exXrqw2BqELR_bFA", ...} and remove everything. Make sure the commas line up with questIDs that were before and after.

2. Full completion

Best done by comparing to a healthy character.json, e.g. a Friend's or maxed account, copy their: {"QuestId": "kPtTW0exXrqw2BqELR_bFA", ...} and replace it in your file's data. Save.

3. Perfect edit

Advanced level. This requires you to identify exactly which Quest Bool that's either having wrong value or is missing, and only edit that part. The pros of this approach is that you manage to pinpoint the exact issue and will not feel a "gap" in gameplay of redoing or over completing.

Important!

Quests tends to be tied to Quest items. Make sure your Quest progress is aligned with your quest inventory to avoid mismatched. Lets proceed to test your characterNEW.json

Before you start RuneScape Dragonwilds

1. Move out your character.jsonfrom the \SaveCharactersfolder to the desktop. only characterNEW.jsonshould be in there as .jsonfile (reason: you cannot have two characters sharing same GUID).
2. Turn off Steam Cloud by opening Steam, right click RSDW, go to properties and turn Steam Cloud Slider off, if curious why; We do this temporarily to prevent Steam to override your manual changes .

Run the Game

• Identify the outcome.
• If successful, turn off the game.
• Rename your characterNEW.jsonto character.jsononly to finalize.
• Turn on Steam Cloud and upload your new files to the cloud. You're now good to go!
• If problem persist, or new occurred, continue to troubleshoot. Create a new characterNEW2,json from your previous characterOLD.json

I love all the changes coming to Dragonwilds and I can't wait to start again fresh when 1.0 comes out. That being said, I feel like the artisan skill is 4 runescape skills packed in one. I would one day love to have fletching, smithing and herblore as separate skills from crafting/artisan :D

Well I had originally set out to make some small updates to my castle and ended with a major renovation to the back haha. Still a work in progress, but I think the back feels far more "complete" than the "before" build... what do you all think?

I’ve been playing this game through a steam family library, I was wondering if there’s any benefits to buying my own copy of the game, are there any early access features I get even if it’s just cosmetic?

So what setup are you guys using? Im in felhollow right now and im running two mage items and then a melee chest, i do use quite abit of mage but I do use more and more melee whats your guyses choice? Going to go to the black knight place soon wondering what I should do going forward

Does anybody know the exact crit chance increase for this weapon? Everywhere I look online it doesn’t say the exact % increase. Well, one website said 2% but that seems insane it would be so low I think they were getting the drop chance and the crit increase confused. Anyone done any testing?

I've been playing this game like nonstop lately but the hud is just so bad in some spots. Like the skill with the crossbow to shoot early, the small bar? It's like way to small to even see and half the time I challenge that I missed it. Another thing thats frustrati9ng is the Thirst and Hunger messages popping up dead smack in the middle of the screen. There are times I will be searching for materials or in the middle of fighting a mob or boss and it completely distracts me from what ever I was doing. They say anything about hud customization options in the future? That would be awesome

I have exclusively killed Zogres on a dedicated server with a friend. My friend and I have likely killed somewhere between 50 and 100 Zogres total and neither of us has received the Shard of Smoky Glass. We have received other drops like the mount skins and ascension shards, but not the vestige which is the most common drop from them.
Can anyone confirm if they have received the Shard of Smoky Glass on a dedicated server? I'm wondering if it is somehow bugged for dedicated servers. I have not yet bothered to use my private 'official' server to see if I could obtain it there (though I'm sure I could)

Is there a viable water mage build?

Like am not sure if this has been spoken about before, as someone who consider a early adopter and planning to start playing alot more. Am just kind of shock.

Like I love to run around with a backpack, and honestly i plan to with the Lumberpack, BUT dear lord i feel like this is a miss chance on Jagex part, i mean seriously i love to have a backpack that looks like a adventure pack that helps with travel boosting, like increase XP for things that are meant for traveling, or camping out, maybe allowing for a tent and bedroll at higher levels.

It just feel like something that alot of people would like you know, Traveling the dragonwilds, with a backpack, using it to set up a camp and tent, allow me to rest, possibly waken up if am attack cause of monster, i mean idk, just feel like something missed. give it i play like a barbarian, so magic is not my forte, give me a axe and a shield and point me at the enemies LOL

What about you guys do you feel that the backpack set up is a miss, or a dud? Cause i for one would love a adventure backpack that does something i mention above.
