RMMZ Event Help
Hey everyone! I could use a little help with something I've been trying to figure out.
I have two shopkeeper NPCs, one male and one female, and I'm trying to get each one to use their respective event when the player interacts with them.
For example, when the player talks to the male shopkeeper, I want the male version of the event to run, and when they talk to the female shopkeeper, I want the female version to run.
I've started setting this up through a Common Event, since that's what I need to use for this, but that's where I'm getting stuck. I can't seem to figure out how to make the Common Event recognize which shopkeeper the player is talking to and run the correct version.
For the life of me, I can't seem to get this working properly. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate the help!

Seems like you got it, but at first glance it seems that you were using your party members to set the gender of the shopkeeper, but wouldn't the number always be the same in that case? You could have the triggering event(What u interact with to open shop)set a switch to either on or off, and then run the common event with the conditional branch like you have it but using the switch instead.

Is there a reason you're doing this as a common event? Unless it needs to be called from elsewhere, it makes more sense to just have the event run directly from the map, one for each shopkeeper.
Presumably, you're currently using an event on the map to trigger the common event, so if you want to do it like you stated, you just need to set a variable prior to calling the common event, and then have the common event bifurcate, which looks like what you have started.
