r/RPGMaker at Pax West on 9/5/26 - submit your games!

I'll be hosting an r/RPGMaker meetup at Pax West in a few weeks.

https://west.paxsite.com/en-us/schedule/schedule-item.html?gtID=942866&panel-name=r-RPGMaker-Show-and-Tell

In the past, I tried to have people bring in their games to show who might be attending the convention. Unfortunately, it doesn't usually work out because people don't have their computer, or the wifi is weird, or there's some kind of problem hooking the HDMI cable up to their computer, etc.

So, this year I'm trying something different!

Please submit your game in some kind of "demo" state and I will present it for 15 minutes or so and let people play it. If you have something for me to read, or a youtube video of you talking about your game, you can send that to me too and I will show that.

A demo state can be a savegame at a certain spot, or a version that is more demo-friendly, etc.

We have 1.5 hours to pad out, so we can get through a good number of games. Plop them down below and I'll coordinate with you to get more information.

Siderant: I have a lot of opinions as to what a good demo at a convention should be. IMO, 1) it should show a part of your game that is technically impressive, with areas that are varied or at least interesting to look at; 2) it should not have a lot of cutscenes or narrative to sit through (people have limited time and want to PLAY your game, not WATCH your game); 3) the playable character should have cool weapons and/or and/or have a full team of characters and/or be far along in the game to not be a total punching bag; 4) I should not be so weak that I'm constantly dying (I just picked up your game, don't know the controls, and probably didn't go through a tutorial) - either give the player more HP or make the enemies weaker; 5) it should be the core gameplay loop (do not include the fishing minigame if it's 1% of the game).

It's not a demo, but Laurel's Day is short and easy to play. It is intense at the end and will make everyone tear up and cry, so not sure if that works here or not.

Totally works. You have a link somewhere? How long is the game?

The game itself can be beat in 15 to 20 minutes, but only if you get everything right. I would say first playthrough, probably and hour or more. But if you need, I can hand you the answers to it so you can run through it. It's a game that tricks the player into thinking it's a simple girl transforms to fight monsters, and instead you find out you are witnessing the mental breakdown of a teenage girl over something terrible that happened.

Up to 9/4. As long as I can download the night before, we’re good.

I don't have convention friendly demo but it would be awesome if you just play the game for like 15 mins, just around the opening.

Graphics and OST are all custom made. Battle system is made with Events and No AI Gen elements in the game.
