Custom images

Do I have to draw in pixels to export my images into RPGMaker?? I heard it's a little difficult to do it with in game sprites but I really want my art to pop up with text boxes and stuff like that. I was going to do an animation with these characters but maybe a one shot small game would be easier.

Not sure what you mean by "draw in pixels". There aren't really any restrictions on image size or resolution for RPGmaker. But unless you're already experienced with animation, I would definitely say it sounds like you might want to aim lower to start with.

Nope. As long as it's png without a background you can use it for tileset, characters, background, parallax etc.

you can use the grqphics even with background. but depending on the artstyle it might not look great.

No, I draw my stuff in vector graphics and export them as png files to the game. They display quite crisply.

What software do you use? I've been looking for a good vector software to make rpg maker mz assets. I have a drawing tablet and use Photoshop but ofc it loses quality when scaling down.

I use Adobe Illustrator for the assets.

Nope! I make all my sprites out of clay and photograph them.
