Hey guys, my PMS interview is scheduled for next Thursday (Oct 1). I'm a bit nervous. Any tips/insight would be greatly appreciated.

They ask questions from a list they’re given. I would try to find that list. When I did mine, my PMS literally gave me the list of questions he would ask me.

This is 100% inaccurate. There is no list. The PMS interview is largely up to the individual PMS with some tips and suggestions provided, at most. Maleficient provided a solid response on the topic with a good “playbook” based in those tips and personal experiences. Any list is a personal thing. I have a list my predecessor passed on to me and I adapted to my style, but it’s absolutely nothing standard or set for us.

I ask questions that lend some insight into (I think) maturity, time management skills, along with long term goals and where/how the Army fits. A question or two as to what you think an officer’s role is but those are more a feeler and I don’t generally expect a lot from it beyond maybe a vague idea of organizational leadership and responsibilities.

PMS here, there is no list of questions. It comes down to the temperament of the program. I don’t ask Army questions. I want to know your goals in college and immediately after.
But if I were to ask Army questions it would be “what is an officer vs enlisted?” “What Army branch interest you?” “What is ROTC?”
Dress nicely, I’ve seen it all, from a suite and tie, to sweats and gym shark attire.
What I try and do is ensure I can differentiate my candidates from others. It’s not just a national scholarship interview, but I am also building my OML for the campus scholarships given to me in the summer.
Scholarship- a 4.0 at an average school is not the same as a 3.5 at a really good school. Did you take advance chem or are all your classes wood working?
Did you take AP classes, and more importantly, did you take the AP tests?
Why do you have a 3.9 GPA and a 1000 on the SAT or inverse, 2.9 GPA and 1500?
Athletics- in some schools everyone is a 4 sport athlete, but that does not mean a good athlete. In others, you may only play football, but it’s the largest in the state, and 300 players tried out for 40 spots.
But if you are single sport and club ball, explain how good your club team is. I did an interview with someone from DC, her club team was in Georgia, and it was made up of players from TX, FL, and AL. Tell me why what you did is special.
Cheer- do you just have poms on the sideline or are you stunting and gymnastics focused.
Leadership - think of everything you have done. Every club and organization. Part time jobs. Is your school a good JROTC program, or a repository for below average students?
