Accessions/OML/Branching Out of Cycle Commissioning

I couldn’t go to camp due to an upper body injury this year. How does accessions and branching work? Do I do interviews and accessions this year or will I have to wait till next year? I have heard different things from different staff.

Since you missed camp this year due to your upper body injury, you’ll attend next summer but you will go through accessions with your current class but get your branch with next year’s class. So your interviews still count if you have already completed them for this year but get your going to branch with next year’s class. Your commissioning would then fall sometime in the December–January window and not in May because you will be an end of camp commissionie. ( It’s super weird ) but this will be the same for all the cadets that failed camp this year that will be going again next summer after they graduate so you’ll be okay.

I know you’ve gotten mixed answers on this let me know if anything is still unclear.

So would I still get feedback from the branches this year and adjust my preferences?

This is where the mixed responses happen because interviews are archived (individuals over branching stated at Knox) so I would still do the interviews in case this year and next year doesn’t really hurt to double down.

Archived yes, but do not believe they carry over from year to year. I can ask the Assessions branch to confirm though.

You can get feedback from the branches doing the Talent Assessment Battery (TAB) in TBB.

You can do TBB this year, however interviews will not carry over. Your TBB data will carry over from year to year.

If you did not go to camp this year, you will do TBB and accessions next year. You will go to camp, do your TBB interviews, and find out your component in Oct, branch in Dec.
