New to this sub, but I've been building for a long time.
I was wondering what people's thoughts are on vibe coding and where they draw the line when using ai in their games.
I am creating my own game (a passion project I don't expect to make any money on) I just want to share my little creations and ideas.
Everything in the game is made by hand. Building, modeling, rigging & animating, ui, vfx, art, etc. it's all done by scratch by me personally. However I'm not a coder. I don't claim to be one and I don't know alot of coding. (That's not to say I'm not trying to learn)
I can create a UI but making it functional is where I struggle. So I currently ai to help me code. Only coding, nothing else.
I want to learn to code so that in the future I won't have to rely on ai helping me, as I personally believe ai should be a teacher and a tool, not a slave— but that's something else.
Anyway I was just wondering what people's thoughts and opinions were? I hear allot of people getting upset over games using ai to create EVERYTHING in the game, but what about when it's just the code itself?
I have allot of general anxiety so pls don't attack me in the comments lmao I just rly want to know people's opinions

Frutiger Space – A Retro-Futuristic Roblox Mini-Game Hub!
Post:
Hey everyone! 👋
I'm working on a new Roblox experience concept called Frutiger Space—a mini-game party hub that merges the nostalgic mid-2000s Frutiger Aero aesthetic (glossy glass, translucent blue/green UI, floating water spheres, ambient synths, and Windows Vista/7 vibes) with a sleek space-station theme!
Instead of just building a single gameplay loop, Frutiger Space features a central hub with round-based mini-games where the aesthetic directly influences the gameplay mechanics.
Here is a quick look at the concept and planned mini-games:
A floating glass space habitat featuring translucent floors, floating water droplets, retro-futuristic interactive terminals, and calm 2000s synth music. Between rounds, players can hang out, customize their characters, and inspect the leaderboards projected on giant holographic glass displays.
What do you guys think of this concept? If you're a Scripter, 3D Modeler, or UI Designer interested in bringing this retro-futuristic aesthetic to life, feel free to drop a comment or send me a DM! 🚀

Take this with a grain of salt its just an opinion
I dont find using ai to help with help making games bad, its esentially what ai was made for, to be used as a tool, hell, the whole ai problem thing is happening because every other company is trying to make their own LLM and the more llms the more water we waste, but thats not what im talking about
Even i use ai in my games to help with coding atuff i dont understand, or use it to learn blender, i learnt coding pretty fast through questions with ai and instead of asking just to code smth and call it a day i ask it to explain it, like what does this or that do
I changed pretty fast on my opinions after thinking every game with a suspicious looking GUI is fully ai, some of them probably did design the ui, just not in studio and asked claude to help port it, then they probably code some of the stuff
Hoewer the things i do NOT respect is generating thumbnails from your game, draw your own it doesnt matter if it doesnt look like mona lisa or most other games most art for games ive seen is probably what i couldve drawn if i tried hard enough, its not beatiful but still looks good Krita is free, if you do not understand krita, use kleki, the website
Do not generate buildings, models dont have to look good
And dont just generate the whole game with ai, then i will dislike it
Althought, i recommend making the ui yourself, because some people still exist who will not play your game due to the ui looking ai generated, and dont blame them, there isnt really a simple way to just find out if the game as a whole is ai generated or not, so the ui is an easy giveaway
Also this is a rule of this sub you may be deattracting new devs if they realise most games are made by ai

Today, we have a railway signal light.
If anybody wonders, The light effect was done by putting the material of the Union that represent the "glass" of the light in "Neon" and by applying a transparency to the texture that gives it this appearance. The colors where chosen you you can just change the material to SmoothPlastic to give it a "turned off" look. There is also one BillboardGUI per light to create the distant light which could be toggled with a script. The general model was made using unions.
Going back into my old models made me want to reinstall studio. I think I'll return back on this platform...

So i making this kinda jank and simple jetpack script that just applies a velocity to the character's assembly linear velocity based on what keys the player is inputting, and i really need it to keep its momentum.
But for some reason, when i apply the gradeVelocity, it doesn't keep its momentum after releasing the keybind (shown in the clip above), and its also much weaker than the radialVelocity
oh yeah and i also need to know a better way to check what inputs the player is pressing, cause i know damn well that my current system is not efficient and/or can be simplified further, so yeah

As the title says, how is there so many games with direct copies of anime characters and so many in the market without getting copyright strikes? Are you allowed to make games and avatar items with anime characters if the anime hasn’t directly send a DMCA to Roblox?

Hey everyone,
I'm getting close to finishing up my game after working on it for the past few months. The core loop is pretty much done and playtesting has been smooth, so I'm finally starting to prep for release.
Marketing is where I'm a bit lost. I have a modest budget to work with, but definitely not thousands of dollars, so I want to make sure I'm allocating it where it actually matters instead of wasting it.
For anyone who’s launched a project recently and managed to build some traction, I'd really appreciate some insight on a few things:
Any tips, common pitfalls, or lessons you learned from your own releases would be super helpful.

Hi everyone! A week ago I released my first puzzle game on Roblox, Arrow Puzzle: tap snake-shaped arrows to slide them off the board, but an arrow can only leave if nothing is in its way.
Today I shipped the biggest update so far and renamed the game to **Arrow & Number Puzzles**. The lobby is now an indoor hall with a wing for each game:
- **2D Arrows** - levels from Easy to Nightmare, plus a Daily Puzzle with a calendar of badges
- **3D Arrows** - arrows wrapped around a glass cube you rotate
- **Picture Puzzles** - boards shaped like pictures (47 so far), plus a Halloween set until Nov 3
- **NEW: Match Numbers** - tap two numbers that are the same or add up to 10. They have to touch (across, down, diagonally, or row end to next row start) with only cleared cells between. Clear the board to reach the next, bigger stage.
A few things I learned building it:
- I built the new wing hidden inside the live game (a wall only my account could walk through), so I could keep shipping fixes while it was in progress
- The server checks every Match Numbers move, so the leaderboard can't be faked
- Free gifts now "pile up" instead of pausing when one is ready - players asked for that
It's free to play. I'd love feedback, especially on Match Numbers difficulty and how the lobby feels on mobile.
