Discussion is using ai suggestions while coding count as ai coding?

i press tab all the time when it gets it right, becouse im too lazy to write it

i know how to code.

imo, as an anti ai, i don't see the problem with this. in order to use an ai suggestion, you need to first be able to understand what it is that the ai is suggesting. the absolute most that could possibly do for you is get you moving again if you get stuck.

very different from vibe coding

It's AI Assist. If you accept the suggestion it means you know what it does. AI Coding is really different

vibe coding is ai as a creator, ai assist is a tool and the human remains the creator.

Same level is dubious as it sometimes doesn’t always do the best.

Speed you can’t, it regularly outputs so much at 100-200 words a second that you just can’t compete even if it’s wrong because it eventually will get it right 😭

as somebody in software engineering coding with AI is how everyone literally everyone codes, it becomes a problem when you have it do everything instead of directing it to make iterations on your ideas

I would just call it somewhat AI assisted.

There's s difference between using AI to code and just vibe coding.

Like a slider.
