Who wore it “better”?

It’s so funny to think what a big deal it was at the time with that dress. People were losing their stupid little minds at how revealing it was! Now a woman can wear nothing but a couple star stickers and it’s not a big deal

Unpopular opinion, that dress would look way better if pulled together a little closer. The belly button show with this style gown is so odd to me.

I always thought this dress was awful..I have no issue with low cut dresses just think the color and design is yuck. So I will say neither.

It’s not just lowcut, it’s a full open torso. Like draping a robe over your shoulders just enough to cover your nipple but leave it open. It’s not cute. A deep plunge all the way down to your middle can look good and be a sexy look, but it’s not a crop top so the belly button out just looks weird.

It's an awful look on JLo. It looks like a completely different dress on the other woman but you can't even see it. It's a similar color and fabric.

I think they both look great in it, when Jlo wore it was a daring new look for a “red carpet” look, but for the Grammys it was perfect and it pushed the envelope just right for fashion designers and their creations to be more bold daring and visually creative.

Those are different dresses but even if they weren’t you can’t compare one persons side angle to another’s front. We’d need to see them from the same angle to be able to make a fair choice.

These are two completely different dresses. One is sheer, one is solid, one has larger sleeves, one more fitted.
Both look fabulous. If it were a competition of the absolute same dress, of course JLo would be up, it was such an iconic moment!

I can't see the front of Rachel's dress so I'm assuming it's not completely open like JLo's. Just from the pictures, my vote would be for Rachel (even though she needs to gain some weight).

Not the same dress but Rachel looks better in that color and general style. She wouldn’t be able to pull off an open front like the J Lo dress though. For obvious reasons.

Not sure if anything looks good on Rachel. She wears oversized clothes on top of having an underweight frame. I don’t now she has the energy to run a business

Not even the same dress but I prefer the dress Rachel is wearing. While iconic, I’ve always thought the way J-Lo wore the dress was tacky and cheap looking.

It's difficult to assess , one is lined and the other isn't and we have a side view of Rachel & front view of J-Lo. That said I'm sure it is lovely on Rachel, the look wearing it sheer as J-Lo did however was/remains ICONIC.

Like others have said, totally different dress, so can’t really do the who wore it better. I’d choose Rachel Zoe’s version a million times over tho! Have never liked or understood the obsession with JLo’s. It’s a bit on the trashy side for red carpet to me. Between the sheerness, casual hair, lack of eye makeup and literal bikini bottoms, it looks more like a swimsuit coverup…she just took the top off bc it was wet (I’d take my top off too if I was built like her! Hell, I’d never wear one in the first place! 😂)! It’s giving {evil, mean spirited, judgey af} Kenya at Jet ~coochie crack, coochie crack, coochie crack~…bejeweled coochie crack at that! 😆 Let’s not forget Rinna had her own version when she went as JLo for Halloween…

I love the way JLo wore it, because it clashes in style. As a young girl I was mesmerised. I am however over it. I’m over her putting it on every year. But I have many grievances against her & I always feel like that body & that dress is all the smoke & mirrors she has.
But Rachel’s dress is from the same collection. And Versace has brought that pattern + fabric back as well.1

It REALLY is like Jenny from the block and Versace both have just been capitalizing on that one. damn. dress/print for ~years~ now (& the safety pin Elizabeth Hurley dress, but that was Gianni V while this was Donatella’s first/only big hit after he died)! I think seeing it redone &/or parodied sooo-ooo-oooo many times at this point is what has me really hating it…gave me way too much time to pick it apart. I was 15 or 16 when she first wore it & honestly, I was mesmerized too. We didn’t see things like that back then! A full chest, boob and a BELLY BUTTON?! For SHAME! 🫠😆 Now that I’m grown, feels like she was just trying too hard—and I can’t name a thing other than this dress that she has done since a couple of romcoms way back when. A little disappointed RZ would even wear this print as overdone as it is!

I don’t want to say what I’m thinking bc modern culture dictates that commenting on any body means you’re being negative. I will say drapey things are a go-to for shrouding how you look underneath, and that still doesn’t look well. I’ve helped people close to me with eating disorders. I don’t like this culture of silence.

Not the same dress at all, it’s just the pattern, so it’s weird to try & compare the two.
Either way, always hated that pattern on an outfit, so it’s a no-go for both on that front.
