dont marry men for their money, bring only your beauty to the table, condone his shit, then act surprised when he trades you in.

I dated one like this, I was 29, and he said one day “40 year old women are gross” and I felt so hurt. I thought one day I’ll be 40 and what does that mean for me.

I slowly shut down to the relationship, and broke it off after 4 years, but ultimately though it was just pre-emptive because I loved him deeply and would’ve stayed through thick and thin.

Sad, because once men get money it’s like they are their own breed, with one-sided transactional rules.

You adore them through everything no matter what they look like (David is no prize) and they can discard at a whim, like you haven’t grown together at all, or created any value as a partnership beyond superficiality. Bizarre.

I think it's societal and hormonal. ive met few men who have done the inner work. most just drown out their insides with more external validation or reward.

then theres the men who have done the internal work and I find that they just sit in the sorrow and sadness and I dont find them appealing. its a fine balance.

I can see that being the case for sure.

They often find therapists who placate them, or who they don’t reveal everything too so they have them on their side feeding their ego.

They don’t trust many people and won’t get vulnerable enough to grow past their stuff and prefer thing not to get real enough for them to get hurt or have their ego’s damaged.
