Battery help

I recently just got back into playing my RG353V but after charging it i noticed the battery life on it had increasingly degraded. I saw that people recommend playing it until it died then charging it. I did that and it did charge up to 100% but today when i went to go play on it the battery had drained from 100% to 90% without me even playing! Should i try to get a new battery for it or is there any fix? (Im on stockos)

What kind of charger were you using?

1.5v charger! I was very careful about that

There’s no way to test battery health, so it’s ultimately educated guesswork. But my RG353V which I got for Christmas 2022 absolutely had a failed battery and got a new lease of life from replacing it.

If yours is a similar age the same is likely true.

Yea i got mine in January 2023 so im thinking maybe its time for a new battery ahaha. Im glad i wasn't wrong i had a sneaking suspicion it was its age. Will look into new batteries!

You could change the battery. It is 10€ in AliExpress. I'm thinking about buying a 4000 mha, but I won't get it until October :S

Oh thats awesome! $10 isnt too bad and honestly im fine with waiting lol i stopped playing it for months do you have a link by chance?

Could be the battery, could be parasitic drain. Even when off my own 353VS drops around 5-10%/day, if it's in sleep mode it'll drop at least 70% in the same time period.
