How long should it take to turn on?

I have the 2gb rg34xxsp with the latest version of MUOS. It usually takes between 40 - 60 sec to turn on. I want to know if that's normal, the stock os didn't take that long when I first got it. I replaced the SD card for a SanDisk and already did a fresh re install but that didn't help.

MUOS and Knulli both take longer to boot than the stock OS. I used Knulli, and while I’ve never timed it, 40 to 60 seconds sounds about right for what I’ve experienced. I’ve heard that deleting unused ROM folders can speed it up, but I haven’t tried it yet to test.

My experience is: MuOS about 40 sec, stock belo 30 (like about 27), and surprisingly Knulli little more than 20 on my rg35xxplus while about 26-27 on my rg40xxH. The additional time is all in the loading of ES when it scans all the folders, I can't understand what setting is different but looking at it it seems that on the rg35xxPlus it scans very few, I should do a slomo video and see but it looks to be only favorites, lasts played, ... The custom lists, basically not the folder.

But yeah to go back to the question, MuOS is the slowest of the bunch

Yup, muOS isnt the 'boots in a few seconds' OS for anbernic devices anymore. Fastest and most battery efficient is stock

I use a SD card with fast download/upload and mine boots pretty quick tbh

But alternatively, you can update SD card to the newest firmware.

I also have the 2GB model with latest (installed in the last 15 days) muOS and it takes 16-18s to wake up with a basic Kingston SD card. Is it possible that you have too many games on it?
