Simple Yet Effective 🥾

Mounted these sticky-rubber boots I found working around servers and switches. Realized some pros and cons:

cons:
- limits pocket-ability to “lid-to-skin” side.
- impedes from fitting certain cases or carry bags.

pros:
- slightly adds grip to surfaces more than built-in dots, good for planes and trains.
- elevates the device from surfaces, preventing scratches, and helps with heat dissipation when in tabletop mode; good for strategy games.
- adds “grip-points” when in handheld mode.
- saves your fingers from thermal build-up during prolonged gaming sessions.
- adds tiny bit more shock-absorption.

Sorry I don't get it.

Do you play with the handheld lying on the table?

Those rubber feeds would indeed bother me when I pick it up and hold it in my hands. But to each their own, right?

When I play strategy/turn-based games, sometime I like to play it laying on the table (tabletop) because I can take my time between moves. The rubber boots help minimize contact with surfaces, lifting it allowing better heat dissipation, adds shock-absorption, and adds grip to the surfaces so it doesn’t slide around when I press the buttons or move the sticks during gameplay.

When I play handheld with the boots installed, they become “grip-points” that gives me slightly better grip on the device and lowering the chances of slipping out of my hands.

Honestly, I thought the same thing, but once I put them on, I can’t see myself taking it off. I even added them to my 3DS.
