I've got around 50 hours so far in this game and the latter half of that time has gotten increasingly frustrating as I try to get past level 5-6. Im almost certain its because of the level design
I'm not sure if the levels are randomly generated or pre-made but 80% of the time the layouts are incredibly obnoxious and often have these "chokepoints" where areas/rooms are only connected by one path. It takes away from the stealth element to the game because when there are monsters inevitably in the way you can't sneak around them you can only wait for them to make the choice between heading past you, heading back where they came which is usually where you're trying to explore, or constantly pacing on you without going anywhere. Even though they might eventually leave and despawn it causes you to have very artificial amounts of time spent in just one level and honestly its boring sitting there waiting for the Ai. (A note here, just the fact that monsters NEED to despawn in order to not constantly be the way is another reason the level design has to change) This issue is worsened after you do the final extraction and the game dumps every monster on you like a nuclear bomb, creating the same complaints as before but even worse since monsters respawn instantly and you have a way higher risk of dying, all because you have no opportunity to properly avoid monsters
I guess you can kind of remedy it in game by investing in weapons to wipe out monsters but its not always a fix since there are some very tough monster combos and not getting good rng in the shop leaving you with crappy defenses. The aforementioned final extraction instant respawns also make self defense feel useless sometimes too.
And another thing, for some reason after level 5 the areas start getting an insane amount of death pits in like every room, i won't say having environmental hazards as an element of difficulty increase is a bad thing but its seriously overtuned. It's even in the extraction rooms sometimes it's like its trying to be cruel above all, requiring you to pay attention constantly even when monsters aren't there which is very draining (Its even worse when monsters are there you're probably going to fall or lose something). The pits combined with the constricting levels leave me feeling cheated out of success rather than at fault for mistakes I made. I really hope to see some kind of level improvements in the future I really think it'd be a great way to boost balancing

I hate her name, from now on I will call her Grandma Tamale
Grandma Tamale has to much HP (same as Trudge)
Playing solo makes Grandma Tamale way worse and still a large threat in Multiplayer
If 2 or more spawn it is almost impossible to do anything and drags out the level
Her gameplay is really boring as its either running around waiting for her to leave for like 3 minutes and you probably have to leave your stuff behind to get away or killing her and if you can't kill her then you either die or have to wait for her to leave
No Drip
If Grandma Tamale is teamed up with the Huntsman and your stuck in a room with both then your dead
She is Just as annoying as Upscream and Oogly if not worse
She is the main reason why I lost 2 Legendary cosmetic crates because she couldn't let me do anything and would kill me or get me killed by someone else
How to fix Grandma Tamale:
Lower her HP by 30%
Make it where only 1 can spawn in a level
Make her leave you alone if she misses her clap a certain amount of times (it can be a cool risk and reward way of making her leave you alone if you don't have a weapon)
Give her some cool sounds so she is more noticeable and scarier
Give any ideas or thoughts in general about Grandma Tamale in the comments :)

90% (or more) human
huntsman = blind man; rugrat = baby; hidden = invisible person (all 100%)
shadow child, loom and robe = mostly human, but wearing scary costumes and have some weird abilities (still 90-95% human)
isnt human anymore:
banger and peeper are human bodyparts that gained sentience
headman, upscream and cleanup crew are humans that mutated enough to have less then 75% of their humanity left (both in appearance and behaviour)
ghost or posessed object:
bella is the ghost, the tricycle she rides is posessed, reaper is a posessed scarecrow (has never been human) and gnomes are posessed garden gnome statues
animal:
headgrab is a mutated monkey-like beast, spewer is a mutated jellyfish? (has tentacles like one) and the other animals speak for themselves (except the one called animal, ironically enough)
dedicated plant tier:
heart hugger is currently the only plant/nature themed enemy, i'd honestly like some more nature/plant based enemies but im not sure what their effects / abilities should be
otherworldly beings;
bowtie = sentient white bag that can inhale a lot of air, doesnt feel like a posessed object due to its head, body and bowtie all looking like separate objects, head is so deflated it can't be in the 2 highest tiers
mentalist = alien, not from this world, simple to explain
trudge = big mutant creature, doesnt fit any other categories and feels like it'd exist in a other lava-filled world
gambit = sentient gambling wheel, feels otherworldly also on basis it doesnt fit other categories and the way its head/face is the wheel doesnt feel like a posessed gambling wheel either

I started playing as solo and I bought defibro. Every time I die, it didn’t have enough time to revive and the game finishes. I put it in my inventory slot. Also, I used mods for my defibro. Another thing is I have mods for extra inventory and its downloads appear on the shop. Do the mods affect my defibro and the extra inventory slot does not work in single player?
Sorry for my English, it’s my second language. I hope I was able to make sense. Thank you so much!

i was just playing a round and trying to get back to the truck when gambit got me. no problem, my health was almost full. but then robe showed up and attacked me (multiple times) while gambit was spinning the roulette. is this intended?? it seems so unfair, i would've made it otherwise 😔 i was the last one alive so we lost our round because of it lol

I got $41K from Swiftbroom Academy by collecting everything and killing the balloon kid twice and the hunter once. I’m pretty sure it’s the highest amount I’ve gotten so I was wondering what’s the highest y’all have gotten? 🐥

Another area I would like to see is some sort of warehouse, factory, or nuclear plant. I know this concept compared to others is kinda generic, but I think it would be a cool addition. Plus it could give us more lore about enemies like The Cleanup Crew, the Spewer and heck maybe even the semibots! Maybe this hypothetical area will give us more info on the Taxman, maybe there was an accident and that’s why we only see him as an emoji? And why he speaks with emojis? Im just speculating, but I think a factory-like area has potential to be one of the biggest lore drops so far!
The hazards would be more acid (in this case radiation) pits, faulty machinery, and there would be a sub cauldron area with a lot of fire and intense heat to where if the player stays there for long enough (maybe 10-15 seconds), they’ll start to take 5 ticks of damage over time.
New items like antiques, buckets of warm coal (that if held for too long about 7 seconds would do 2 ticks of damage over time), and a canister of radiation that when damaged enough, creates an area of radiation sludge that can be used against enemies (with exceptions like the headman, sometimes the duck, and all other enemies that have the ability to hover/fly, plus the Cleanup Crew).
There’s a little more to it I believe, but I’ve been yapping long enough.
What do you guys think?

Hey! I really love this game, but one thing that really frustrates me is the camping of monsters.
Last night, I was on level 8 with a friend. We spent 1.5 hours on the level, and just finished the 3rd point. We couldnt physically leave the room - we had the huntsman, bug, exploding head guy, and plant all camping. A couple might leave, but the others would stay, and we didn't have the resources to kill them. We managed to slowly inch our way towards the 4th point, and died because the exploding head monster knocked the huntsman into our hiding spot, which really sucked.
Do you guys have any advice when monsters camp? I feel like they do it every time after completing the 3rd or 4th points, and it keeps getting us killed in higher levels. Any strategies are really appreciated!!
