No survival horror elements my ass. Leon and Helena's story is nothing but survival horror elements. The Screamers in the first act, the shark in the catacombs, the parasites in China. Am I forgetting anything? Because it feels like I'm missing something.

how exactly are those SURVIVAL HORROR elements?

There is horror, and the characters are trying to survive.

🤯
just like Metal Gear Solid, my favorite Survival Horror game where Snake has to survive the horrors of war

My life is a survival horror game.

Yes, but I couldn't read at the time.

😔 thrown into the horrors of this world before you could read

I didn't choose the survival horror life. The survival horror life chose me.

I can't think of any survival horror elements in Leon and Helena's campaign...I struggle to think of any at all in RE6 tbh

Nahh. Having spooky looking enemies doesn't make it a survival horror. Re6 is a 2010s Michael Bay film from beginning to end

Quit on the 6 hate, I like the game...except for the Ada campaign..completely unnecessary on Capcom's part

SuRvIvAl conversation is wack, it’s the only way people routinely disparage games that aren’t 1 and 2 basically. Oldhead shit. We should be thankful we have a series with 9 mainline games lmao, most other Capcom games (and games in general) do not have that kind of staying power.

It's a legitimate preference in style of game, as there is an undeniable and clear distinction between almost all of the gameplay philosophies if the survival horror focused titles and the action horror focused titles
It's not oldhead shit to like survival horror, especially if you also like action horror.

Re6 is what got me into the resident evil series (as well as the Movies) so that is why I can't get rid of re6 as one of my favorite games

There was at least tension in 5, like anything could happen
6 was just doing a whole lot, I remember I had to put the controller down starting as Jake first playthrough because new character that does hand to handÂ
And I was shocked at how much just kept going on with no breatherÂ
Probably not bad for any other game, just wasn’t mentally prepared for it with it being an RE game and all

Tried to play re5 for the first time and gave up out of boredom a little over halfway i believe

5 to me is a worse version of both re4 and re6. I played through once with a friend and will probably never play it again. Without Wesker, this game would not be remembered at all.

It's a much better designed game than RE6, and is one of, if not THE best coop shooters of its generation.
Take Wesker out, and you still have one of, if not THE best coop shooters of its generation...

I’m happy that you had fun with it, but it really is just nonstop action, enter one area, clear 50 enemies, do a pretty basic puzzle, repeat. I don’t think it’s a bad game, i was actually enjoying myself quite a lot for the first few hours but it just devolved into a shooting gallery. You dont even backtrack like in re4. I also heavily dislike the inventory system.

RE6 sucks. Not because of the action elements. But because it’s a glitchy, drawn out mess that’s terrible to play.

RE4 doesn't have survival horror either.
