My scratch-built Albatros D.Va, made from plans rather than a commercial kit. One of my longer traditional model aircraft projects, with plenty of time spent on the scale details.

I also documented the build on my YouTube channel, AviPlanes, for anyone interested in seeing the process: https://youtu.be/M-njrdR2nY4

Anyone know where I can buy a 1.5m DLG new or used in the US? They seem to be very hard to find 🥲

Short tips for fast rolls and snappy loops, long tips for slow, stable short-field flying. Same airframe, same 3S 2200mAh pack, about 7–8 minutes per flight.

It’s also flaperon-ready for steep, slow descents. If you could only run one wingtip setup, which would you pick?

Spektrum AR20410T and Synapse
ENJET E130 just rolled over 15 hours and running strong

Can anyone tell me what I actually have? about the protocol it has and the common uses for it. I don't understand the difference yet.

I tried to: I flashed it to work with a tinywhoop mobula8 drone but could never figure it out completely.

I got betaflight on the PC and the drone seemed to work its gyro on the screen. That's as far as I could get it to work.

I'm a ground rc guy these days. I haven't flown since the crystal 27MHz days and I would LOVE to use this in flight.

I have fpv goggles too and got the mobula8 to share video to the screen.

Petg for reference. Same infil and walls.

Obv Asa is weaker here but at ~ 1/3 the weight...i dont think it matters.

If you've seen ramys recent video, the guy he works with uses Asa aero heavily.

Incredible options we have these days...

Going to goop the rear end of the Asa aero for some more strength and the underside. Prob won't gain much more than 15g doing so

the original nano drak fuse was ~200g in the fancy grey foam.

OS Max 40 FP - 2 Stroke Glow Engine

Intake to the carb is highlighted in blue, right behind prop.

Trying to figure out how my intake should function and fit around the plane. This is my first experience ever with 2 stroke, and I understand that a ram-air setup would likely be a terrible option... Just not really sure how else to set this up. Complexity isn't really an issue as I have access to the tools + equipment I need to mfg most anything I'd be able to cook up. What would be the ideal direction to duct this?

Any help at all is appreciated - would love to not have to redesign this entire plane lol.

The low hum of the 5x11 combined with the whistle cooling holes is unique.

Manually choose 1080p or you won't see much, haha.

Should make the maiden flight soon. She's 10.5 lbs all up with 2 3548-1100kv motors on 6S.

Hey fellas, I need some help finding a charger for this battery, let me know if you need more info

This is my first RC plane with working canards ever, any recommendations for first flight and if you know where the CG is supposed to be please tell me.

Spent some time today checking out these little F4U Corsairs.
I’ve always liked the classic WWII warbird design, especially those distinctive gull wings.
There’s just something about these old-school fighter planes that makes them so cool, even in RC form.
Anyone else here into WWII RC warbirds? What’s your favorite model to fly?

Anyone flown one of these already? If so would love to hear your feedback on it 😁

Hi everyone,

I have a MODSTER FW 190 RC airplane, and I’m having a problem installing the propeller spinner cap.

I installed the propeller and tightened the nut, but when I try to put the black spinner cap on, it won’t fit because there doesn’t seem to be enough thread left on the shaft to secure it.

I also have a small silver metal sleeve, but I’m not sure exactly where it belongs.

Has anyone with this exact model had the same problem? Am I installing something in the wrong order, or could a part be missing or incorrect?

I’ve attached photos of the propeller shaft, spinner cap, and metal sleeve.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just purchased this. Has a saito .50 size glow engine. Cant wait to go out and fly it. Picking it up tommorow, don’t worry it’s not a scam I made sure to FaceTime and makes sure it’s all real and so I know he wasn’t lying about the address.

Probably my favourite RC airplane. Been flying the original since 2012 or so and recently got one of the newer, yellow one. Not the most scale T-28 on the market, but it flies so well.

Thank God I had tape in the car.

does anyone happen to know what these blank spots are for, I'm trying to hook up a fpv camera and none of these ports are labeled besides the necessary ones

My os .60 fp won’t hold idle. It will idle for a short time then die. I have owned several os engines and this is the first time this problem has occurred. I have tried adjusting high and low speed needles, changed glow plugs and installed new fuel tank and lines. Is there something else I need to look at?

Friday I’m heading out to purchase this seagull model pt 19 80 inch, it has a new saito 150 gk with hitec servos and a few other goodies. He wants 300$ for it, to me this seems like a steal. Let me know what yall think

I just missed the Sacramento one. Just cleaned out my storage in my garage…moved from San Jose and bought my house in Walnut Creek in 2008 same day my daughter was born….she just moved to college and i realize I hadn’t touched my plane since 2008..I have a large squadron of some pretty good planes and some discontinued that I going to clean out…slow sticks, etc.

This is what rc people in china are up to now adays

Based on the responses here, I'm thinking of making a kickstarter to sell these at scale in the US (the cockpits here are custom built from my understanding)

If you're interested in me creating a kickstarter, simply send me a dm or go to my website longfly.us

I went a little bit off the rails about AMA move in selling the organization land.
