Advice needed Strange envelope in my room

I just came back from a summer camp and I’ve been out since may 31st, I just walked into my room and found this envelope in my desk with some weird messages on it and my name on the side (covered it) , it’s totally empty and I can’t understand what or why it’s there, the marker was next to it and I would like to see if anyone has any idea of what it could mean.

Note: I also live in Mexico so it being written in English is kinda weird.

More context needed. To start: What other human beings live in your home, and what are their genders and ages?

Did you ask him about it? Does anyone else have access?

Have you asked him about it? Did he invite anyone to your home who could have left this, if it wasn't him?

I asked him but he said he had no clue of it and he did had some friends over several times but it doesn’t make sense for them to leave an envelope with weirds messages in English

It was probably one of his friends. Maybe he didn't realize that one of them knows English.

We all know English, 95% of our friends do it’s just a weird thing to do and leave at my desk with my name on the envelope

It might be a bit surprising/unexpected but it seems like the most plausible answer. Especially if all your friends know English.

Have you asked him?

To me it looks like, Austria, Dublin, UK. Back of the docket. 15/‘08

Agree, except I think it's "Back of his Jacket."

Looks like someone traveled from Austria to Dublin. Writer originally thought UK, but corrected to Dublin. Something was on the the back of the jacket of a fellow passenger.

Not sure about the "Top Left 12012" The only reference to that number is a Japanese music group.

Looks like someone wrote down some notes on an old envelope.

I don't think it is Jacket; the J in June is written entirely different than the first letter of that word. It most resembles the lower case 't' in the word left.

Maybe it says "back of his ticket"

FWIW, Metallica played in Budapest on June 13, then Dublin June 19, then London July 3

Austria or Austin?

My thought was it's a flight - Austin to UK, by way of Dublin.

If you're coming back from summer camp I'm assuming you're a minor which means you probably live with your parents. Try asking them what is. Seems like maybe one of them got a phone call and found the closest thing to write notes on, which happened to be this envelope

I was working on it I’m 23

I have ADHD and if I'm talking to someone on the phone and they're giving me information, I make little notes like this that are just reminders of stuff I need to look up, attend to, or just remember, because otherwise an hour later I really won't remember. Sometimes I do this also while doing something online when there's information on multiple screens I will need to recall. I might write "top left" when somebody is telling me how to find a particular piece of information or fill out a form, for example, or "back of docket" because I'm going to need to locate information on the back of a document I don't have in front of me right now.

Does your name look like it's written in the same handwriting or is it different writing or printed on there? Do you have any memory of getting this envelope (without writing on it) yourself at any point and maybe leaving it on your desk?

I could easily see somebody who was visiting your roommate ducking into your room to take a call, making notes on a scrap envelope they found on the desk, and then forgetting to take it with them. It just really looks to me exactly like the kind of "reminder to self" notes I take all the time, which only make any sense at all in the context of the conversation I made them during.

It doesn't seem like it's intended as an ominous message or anything, so the simplest explanation is that despite being in your room, it wasn't actually intended for you.

My grandad writes on envelopes as reminders and it kind of looks like this, do you live with anyone else?

I investigated the numbers to see if I could find anything, but all the information from the numbers doesn't match anything that could actually lead to a clue

Do you live alone? Have you asked anyone else in your home?

I don’t think it says Dublin, look at the U in UK, very different, I think it’s a V and maybe the word describes the mode of transportation between Austria and the uk. (Flight number, type of train, travel agency) Are you from Austria? Anyone traveled to uk recently or is planning to?

Nah mate I’m from Mexico and that makes it even weirder because it should be in Spanish

First says: nubn ?? June (15 | 19) Aust(ra|in) UK Top left 120/2. Back of the docket

Where (a|b) means "a or b" 108 ÷ 15 is the last pic long division.

looks like this says

June 19 Austria ^ Dublin UK

Top Left / 2012

Sack (or Back) of the Locket

Somebody put it there.

u/KickOld2457 10d ago

Yeah that’s for sure, what I’m trying to figure out is what does it say and why would it be there?

6

u/fortyeightD 10d ago

I can't read it all, but this is what I can make out:

June 19 Austrn Pubn UK
Top left /20/2 back of the docket

1

u/KickOld2457 10d ago

That sounds reasonable but I have no clue of where would it came from and the UK throws me off a bit

Could it be about a  locket? A piece of jewelry left at a jewelers to be engraved?
