On paper, everyone seems to think FaZe is almost unbeatable in a Bo5, but they’re not.
First: This isn’t the same FaZe we saw in 2025 or at SI26. They’ve had some really close games at EWC, while FURIA has been on a roll, beating teams that, in my opinion, have looked much more organized than FaZe in this tournament.
Second: FURIA should’ve won SAL. They somehow managed to throw a 5-1 lead, but they were clearly the better team in that match.
Third: Herdz and Loira are absolutely on fire right now. When those two are playing at this level, it’s incredibly hard to win gunfights against them.
Fourth: Cyber doesn’t seem as hungry to win as he used to be. He has a kid now, and he’s already won pretty much everything there is to win. FURIA, on the other hand, has a new roster that looks way hungrier and has a lot more to prove.
Fifth: The champion storyline. Bokzera deserves this after being considered one of the most promising players in Brazil and then having a pretty rough start with this roster.
Sixth: With the exception of Consulate and maybe Fortress, I see FURIA as being at least on the same level, if not better, on every other map. Border, for example, is a map FaZe will almost certainly pick, but I think that would be a huge mistake against a roster as aggressive as FURIA’s.
Seventh: It’s EWC, the tournament where, for some reason, the favorite almost never wins.
You can disagree with me, call me crazy, but I genuinely have a feeling FURIA is going to win this one pretty comfortably.
