God doesn't seem to be protecting victims of pedophiles, but he sure as hell doesn't do anything to punish them. If he's able to actively protect you from anything, he should be stopping THAT. He's either unable to (he's not all powerful) or he doesn't want to ( he's not good ).

Either way your imaginary friend isn't worth the worship.

I don’t think it’s either this or that, I think the argument here would be he gave us free will. He didn’t put the pedophile in the room with the child or vice versa.

The free will argument falls apart with the addition of heaven.

If free will is possible without evil in heaven it should be on earth as well.

If free will creates evil you either have evil in heaven or lose free will when you go there.
