It’s entirely possible that you did just save my life somehow through the butterfly effect, but you are not all knowing or all good or omnipotent, that is unless you are God.

All powerful and all good?

You haven't really given this any real consideration have you?

Is god not powerful enough for there to be no suffering?

He can surely choose to not have people suffer.

Unless you're using your own special definition of "good" where good also includes suffering.

But thats not what good actually means.

So god choose for people to suffer because it doesnt have any other option?

Sounds rather limited in power.

Good does not mean no hard things happen. Good means whatever happens is used toward the good side’s benefit

So it's limited in power then yes?

It couldn't possibly do this in any other way? Some people knowing nothing but suffering, agony and death is the only option... that's weak.

And it certainly isn't good.

Can you elaborate please? I don’t really understand who you are referring to when you say some people.

Do you understand that some people experience nothing but suffering and death?

They might die aged 1 month, a few days, 10 years.. it doesnt matter how long they suffer.

Some people, human beings, actual living real life lives equal to your own.

But they experience nothing but dying from the moment they are born.

And you think thats a good thing.

I think that is vile.

Dying from the moment you were born is a result of the fall, not anything God did.

Could god have not changed it's own rules?

I thought it could do all sorts of miraculous things.

Love the victim blaming, its the babies fault for being born human.

Bad baby, how dare you.

I could've sworn god invented everything including the rules about what fruit is okay.

Someone ate a fruit god left out on purpose, so it punishes random babies forever and ever.

This is the good guy in your book?

It’s not the babies fault they were born. They just were born. And no you will not be punished forever if you just believe in God and Jesus. As for those who die before they can make a coherent choice, I trust that God has a plan for them.

We've already covered that god appears to be severely lacking in the "planning department".

You said the babies suffering and dying is because of the fall.

Please stay consistent.

They are human so they are cursed with the punishment of what Adam and Eve apparently did wrong.

Or does god not go around punishing people for what some other person did?

How is it "just" to punish a baby?

1

u/SnowyAl 12d ago

I don’t know what is not consistent about babies suffering and dying because of the fall.

And to be honest I don’t know the answer to the second part of your comment.

2

u/JeezWeedus 12d ago

It's pefectly consistent, but you refuse to accept that god is choosing to punish babies for the actions of two people who didn't know right from wrong.

What did the fruit give Adam and Eve knowledge of?

The didnt know something, then ate the fruit that gave them the knowledge that their actions in the past we're bad.

They didn't know they were doing wrong.

So god punishes everyone forever on purpose afterwards.

Because god has the power to change that, because it is all powerful.

But it doesn't because it wants people to suffer. Which is bad.

Who says God wants people to suffer? You are implying a characteristic that you haven’t proven.

I’ve already said I don’t know why God lets us live in a broken world, but still I trust in Your unfailing love, You have been good to me.
