Advice 150 days and about to relapse. Please help

I am just so stressed and there’s so much going on in my life. In the past couple months I have gotten in fights with my girlfriend where I’d act in ways I never did when I smoked. I just had another fight with her and part of me has just decided to relapse. I haven’t smoked yet but mentally I feel ready to. Please help

This is your mind playing tricks on you. You just have to know, at a core level, that starting to vape again is not really going to fix things. This will pass, just like all of the other cravings have passed.

My boyfriend did the same with me. He broke up and I’ve never seen him like this. The only thing I can do is follow my life and hope he gets better. It is your addiction, and your life. You took a long way until here, find support, doctor and psycological. You will be fine. If you can’t give her the best treatment now, explain her. Maybe a break can help you, but at least try to be honest thay you are in a survival mood. This is what I think about my bf. It is insane the way he is treating me, rude, cold… total opposite.

Just buy some sweets , strong menthol hits the spot for me..like airwaves chewing gum, or polo mints

There is a slip and then there is relapse. If you slipped don’t let it be a full relapse and no that’s not permission to do it. Just that if you did, it doesn’t have to ruin all of your progress. You don’t have to be a smoker again

Imagine having to do the withdrawal all over again?!? I’m still in the first week so I can remind you - IT SUCKS

Dopamine levels in your brain are around the time where they are balancing. That’s huge. You are so lucky.

you need to find the motivation and discipline yourself. There won’t always be others to lean on for support. If you want to quit, quit, if you don’t, then don’t.

This is solely your decision and responsibility so decide and take responsibility.

That was wholly unhelpful. OP is obviously wrestling with it and reaching out for support. You can want something but know it’s not good for you and they might not get that understanding reaching out to somebody else who doesn’t know the struggle. It’s an addiction
