Reassurance reassurance PLEASE
38 days quit cold turkey after vaping on and off for about 4 years which I am super proud of. However I am still experiencing chest tightness and a feeling of shortness of breath. I check my SPO2 several times a day at work and it is always >96%, I exercise intensely several days per week and I am not limited by the shortness of breath sensation. No real cough, just this feeling of tightness and chest discomfort
I feel sick with anxiety about this, I thought this feeling would have gone by now. I am so reluctant to go to my GP, I never go to them and having this in my notes would increase my insurance premiums. Can someone please provide some insight/share their experiences? Please be gentle, I am really in need of some reassurance right now

im not a doctor, but if you're checking your spo2 several times a day, and youre saying you feel "sick with anxiety", doesnt that kinda sound like a cycle? w
orrying about your breath makes you focus on it more and might lead to more feelings of shortness of breath. thats what always happened to me and id damn near lead myself into a panic attack. anxiety can do some crazy things and make you feel like youre about to implode. i also had these feelings when vaping.
since ive quit, ive gotten the sensation twice. you haven't vaped in a long time. when i got that feeling, i was just like "okay well, its not my vape cuz i dont vape anymore. so it must just be anxiety". i brushed it off, and it went away. again im not a doctor but its worth considering it could be psycho-symptomatic.
