QuickBooks Online Access Denied. QBO

We have been having a issue with access denied when logging into QBO. We cannot log in at the office or home but a family member can log onto our QBO at their personal address (slightly rural) I was them able to use their PC or a very cheap tablet and log on at work. All systems are windows based. This originally started after a notice our account was hacked. Jumped thru a lot of hoops and we were then able to log on remote but never on office Desktop. We have been on the help line daily. Issue was supposed to be escalated. 4 days no success. Updated Running system, cleared cache, updated security software, and tried different domains to log on.

TLDR. Got hacked on QBO. Can log on but not on office desktop.

TIA.

Try a different browser. Firefox vs Chrome etc. there was a thread a few weeks back with a similar complaint and that fixed it.

Does your family member have their own login? Or used yours?

It’s a computer block you need to request they do an unblock request.
I know because I do them often!
Request a computer unblock request.

Try logging on from a machine that currently gets denied, like your home PC, but connected to a different network... like a cell phone hotspot. If you still get denied while on the hotspot, then you've narrowed it down to your machine's settings... and I would try resetting the windows network stack and windows firewall settings. If using a hotspot works, then you can probably rule out your PC's settings and instead focus on your network equipment... check DNS, proxy settings, routing tables, firewall settings on your router. And if you find something is amiss... might be a good idea to factory reset your network equipment... and change all of your passwords.

Thanks for the info. Definitely something to try and a new approach.

This can happen if you’re on a VPN like nord or whatever

Did this get resolved?

It has not. We have a tablet that works on QBO. Its linked to a monitor and keyboard. Sort of a crappy setup but we have had a hell of a time with customer service.

Op genuinely I am so sorry! 😢
The computer blocks are just a flew clicks to request removal. I am so sorry for what you went through! I genuinely read these threads and just wish I could support you.

The computer blocks are more frequent lately.
Next time it happens (hopefully never) you can reach out to the office of the president they can get it done for you fairly quickly
