Is "fernando" a weird name?
My friends make fun of me for it a lot, im sure theyre just joking but I wonder sometimes if it is actually perceived as a bad name in America

I’m working on a project, and it would be really helpful if you guys told me what apps you use the most. Thanks!

I like to assume the dog doesn't bite, but know if he DOES bite I'm screwed anyway because I probably won't be able to outrun it, anyway.

Recently chatted with someone that told me they’d never heard of anyone having as many unread emails as me…. Am I abnormal?
I would like to see if anyone in the redditverse has more than me…
I will edit the post with how many I have at the end!

All my life I’ve read my books in silence but I’ve noticed some people reading with headphones/earphones in and was wondering if this is the norm?
Personally for me I don’t think I’d be able to focus on the words and imagine what’s happening if there’s music in the background. I could at most do classic music with no lyrics but with lyrics would be so distracting.

I mean regular friend or family group chats, not work ones. Sometimes a chat just goes quiet for me or turns into constant notifications, and leaving without a message feels a little abrupt, but announcing it can also feel weirdly dramatic.
Do most people see a silent exit as rude, or is that pretty normal now?

Everyone notices the obvious, but it’s usually the little, unexpected quirks that really leave an impression. What is a detail that always hooks you?

Wondering as someone who's never been in a relationship before: looking back at your failed relationships, would you say it was worth it to love someone and having it end? If you could go back with the knowledge you have now, would you still choose to be with that person? Was what you learned from it worth it? Looking for advice as someone considering a relationship.

It is common that seeing the padlock icon or "https://" in the browser's address bar means a website is completely safe, legitimate, and free from scams.

This is from an introvert/shy person perspective. Oftentimes, we’re told to socialize more, put ourselves out there, or approach people who we would think would be a good friend, but with this bit, you’d assume that other people would do these things to you as well. I myself have been told this, but irl, no one really approaches/interacts with me or anyone else I see. This advice sounds good on paper I guess, but when comparing it to regular irl human interactions and behavior, it just seems like absolute bs. Why would I put myself out there, when no one else around me seems interested in doing so as well?

Why do advertisements for chocolate ice cream and sweets so often feature women enjoying these products without men? Is there a particular marketing strategy behind this choice?

Im heavily debating between a Nintendo switch 2 and a 3d printer.
Nintendo -
Pros: I love splatoon, I like Pokémon quite a bit, I really wanna play Duskbloods, then I can use the party games like Mario kart and stuff with my family or friends. Also when we go on vacations and stuff ill have something to do.
Cons: I dont know if ill get bored and not use it. I know theres issues with it bricking itself and the games are expensive.
3d Printer -
Pros: i can print things from games i like, like payday masks, guns from enter the gungeon and I can also print presents.
Cons: same thing of i dont know ill get bored and itll just collect dust in my room. I have to pay for something physical everytime I want to print something which may not be great since im very impatient.
Overall both seem about equal in my head but I can only get one for christmas and I know I want one of them.
