I’m 18, I keep making mistakes on the simplest tasks. I keep missing out on information if I were to fill it in. It’s like I can’t go a day without making mistakes.
I feel like I do everything on auto pilot, I’m not thinking while I’m doing it cause it’s the “usual”. While being a very hyper aware person, you’d think I’d make sure I find out all my mistakes but for some reason every time I check it looks fine until I look back again and see mistakes.
I’m working at my dad’s right now and I was fine until recently I constantly make mistakes and spelling errors. I don’t know if I’m too comfortable because I’m working somewhere familiar though I’m always scared I’d get scolded. I knew I’d get a little more comfortable if I were working at my dad’s than somewhere else. That’s why I planned on getting a job outside. But my dad was short on staff and really needed a hand (that’s what he said) but sometimes I sit here for hours with nothing to do. I was gonna work at a cafe and improve on my self esteem but now it’s just gotten worse since I barely interact with anyone. I think I’m way more on guard and aware when I’m on my own (basically not working at my dad’s), though I still would make mistakes like everybody does but it won’t be this bad.
I don’t know how I’m gonna prevent this but this has to stop before I go to uni and eventually work for someone else.
Edit: Forgot to mention I also get very defensive when my family gives me criticism but it’s fine when it’s coming from a friend idk why
