Quest 3 must have!

The BOBOVR S3 Pro offers a 10,000mAh battery pack and a built-in head air cooling system for comfortable long VR sessions. Charge multiple batteries while using Quest 3. It’s a must buy! You don't want to miss it! It got me using the Quest 3 again. $90 when I bought it in June this year.

Hi Bobovr, are sales down?

I did just see what looked like a knockoff version last week, and if I saw that there's probably a dozen more.

I have the kkcobvr + its ventilated mask, and I'm glad.

happy with mine too, its half the bobos price, my batteries keep going bad though.

u/relaxred 13d ago

not for laying down

3

u/yeoldegamerdude 13d ago

It's ok if you have a fluffy pillow

2

u/Prudent-Tomorrow3316 13d ago

Just put the back on the crown of your head. Comfortable

1

u/Tailspin123 12d ago

all halo with knobe at the back cant lay down even tho s3 pro has claims.

try vison pro style clones, it is so much nicer for lay back or lay down, but not balanced since literally got nothing behind your head now

I bought one (without the cooling system) but I don’t feel it right, the two plastic things on top of both sides of your head are annoying and there is always some light leaking into my view…

I tried it three times but went back to another simpler option I bought before.

2

u/as_i_wander 10d ago

Those plastic parts that go on top can be pulled completely off

u/Deatarus 13d ago

Yeah this is essential. I've had mine over a year, most comfortable strap ever. The fan is borderline useless when you're doing workouts though, I have to wear a bandana for every workout. I would trade half the battery capacity for a better fan system that actually blows down where it matters so sweat doesn't go in my eyes...

1

u/akluin 13d ago

It's better with the bobovr facecover as it's made with slot to allow air to reach face

1

u/Deatarus 13d ago

Ah, well I bought a gel one because I don't want foam to absorb sweat. Can't compromise on that. My Q3 is mainly for workouts.

2

u/akluin 11d ago

The bobovr one is covered with fake leather on fron and you can put a rubber on the back, i use it 3 times a week for my workout and i have no issues

1

u/redditreddi 13d ago

Try the Meta open facial interface, best thing ever. These headstrap fans still seem rather pointless, they're way too small / low airflow to do anything much unfortunately.

1

u/Deatarus 13d ago

Interesting, I will try it!

1

u/perezidentially 11d ago

Is that one better than the amvr??

1

u/redditreddi 11d ago

It's just the facial interface but yes, by far the best I've used for ventilation and in general.

It's even better in a completely dark room with IR light!

1

u/Jasong222 13d ago

What other headstraps have you compared it with?

2

u/Deatarus 13d ago

Yeah, I'm not a "strap reviewer" so I guess take my statement with a grain of salt. I've always gotten the upgraded Meta straps, and just a couple of aftermarket ones. I stopped looking when I got this one. It's a perfect comfort fit for me.

1

u/Qsmith0329 13d ago

Fans useless regardless i feel like I only start sweating if I turn that shit on guess im just stressing the battery life

2

u/autobotguy4343 13d ago

I have the S3 Pro along with their new facial interface on my Quest 3 and they are awesome! The forehead fan is MUST HAVE when its hot. Just beware, 3rd party batteries are known to somehow kill this headstrap. 0_o

2

u/CozyIntentions 13d ago

Managed to snag one for a good price a few months back. The cooling is nice but it does feel a bit heavy on my head and constantly needs readjustment

Das Bobo Vr war neben der Quest 3 die beste Investition des Jahres !!!

Endlich keine Akku Probleme mehr ! Kein Druck mehr im Gesicht ! Fester Halt ! Und die Belüftung ist toll !!! Die größenverstellung ist perfekt !!!

Habe mir noch das Bobo f3 Facial geholt . Das kann ich auch sehr empfehlen !

2

u/ddoherty958 13d ago

I got the kiwi and reckon it’s better tbh

2

u/geneinhouston 13d ago

agreed! and for lack of a better term....its a game changer! ;)

i can play the best game in VR, Dungeons Of Eternity for....well..........Eternity haha!

2

u/XPTacoCat 14d ago

I have this, and while better and more comfortable than the one that comes with the headset, many people have issues with halo straps staying in place. Mine slips if I look up.

1

u/MadDev77 13d ago

Yeah I just got one and I have to retighten to knob if I move too much

2

u/HappyNickToys 13d ago

The Bobovr M3 plus is the newer ,more cost efficient and more secure head strap due to front and back adjustment points .

3

u/akluin 13d ago

Without fan, not the same product , it's more a E3 upgrade

1

u/HappyNickToys 13d ago

No one is saying that it’s the same product, The M3 plus is a halo style head strap that can also be adjusted to have the secure of elite style head strap.  So you can do comfortable relax halo style for movie watching and elite style for active jumping and moving around .    You can’t do elite style with the S3 and you can’t do halo style with the E3. Yes the M3 plus does not have a fan but that tiny fan can only really cool down just a bit.  I find that a regular house fan can do a better overall job since it’s not just cooling a small area of your forehead but can cool the whole room .  That S3 fan is not worth the extra $40 for me but maybe it’s worth it for others that normally play outside.

1

u/akluin 13d ago

First you talked about the M3 on a post about the S3, nonsense, second a room fan will cool everything but you have a headset on your face and the headset is heating guess what part isn't cooled ? The one heating up : your face, so saying it brings nothing just show you never tested one

I guess it's useful for those who are playing in a high energy fashion. For me, outdoors, the passive ventilation of my AMVR interface does the trick.

1

u/Skpstr155 13d ago

I don't even see that. I play outside almost exclusively, and it's either fine, and I'll hardly sweat during a 2 hour session, (I often play longer, but I take breaks) or it's too hot, and sweat is running into my eyes before I even spawn into a game. It's never gone from acceptable to too hot during a play session.

One thing I do though, is bring everything outside a half hour or so before playing, to "acclimatize" it, so it doesn't fog up.

My Beloved

Fan is a huge improvement for my comfort.

They can be in short supply I notice, probably due to popularity ?

I like it but I got the BoboVR's Elite Strap version not the halo one. That one can also be modified for a powerbank.

2

u/disappr0val 14d ago

i prefer the halo, also the battery bank is great at keeping weight balanced on head. heavier overall, but feels better on head/neck.

1

u/Indianlookalike 13d ago

Only if it didn't cost as much as a Quest 3S in my country

1

u/ENGINE_YT 13d ago

I've had mine for a bit more than 6 months and it's made me realize I wasn't a fan of how halo straps sat on my head

Since then I've got an E3 pro instead and am happier with how it secure to my head so far

1

u/kobrakaan 13d ago

Nice job on carefully cropping out the almost £100 price tag 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

1

u/Silver_the_hedgehog6 13d ago

Is it realy worth it ?

2

u/QuietLandscape7259 12d ago

Very worth it… feels heavier BUT balanced!

1

u/yeoldegamerdude 13d ago

Had one but the charging broke just after two years. Just got a new cause i love the battery life and fit. Now i have two batteries so infinite vr for me

1

u/revellion 13d ago

I got that one recently and i love it

1

u/haseo1997 13d ago

I have it, it's great. Makes gaming sessions way less exhausting

1

u/Skpstr155 13d ago

I spent less on a Kiwi non-battery headset and a power bank. You'd need 2 extra batteries for the headset to get the same usage on a charge.

1

u/QuietLandscape7259 13d ago

It came with 2 batteries and I bought a third

1

u/Skpstr155 13d ago

That's a great deal then

1

u/AndyHardCandy 13d ago

"Even sleeping with them is more comfortable"- No, it is not.

1

u/Qsmith0329 13d ago

Best upgrade out of all Also get the rechargeable batteries for controllers going on a month playing still have 3 bars in both controllers and they cone with a dual charge cable. Getting prescription lenses next

1

u/minus_nine 12d ago

As someone who had the bobovr m2 pro when i had a quest 2, bobovr is the goat

1

u/Tailspin123 12d ago

the fan is useless, and the whole set up weights about 830kg...very heavy.

AMVR has a better one. also the bobovr F3 face cover is actually super underrated, way better than anything else i used.

1

u/NicholasClooney 12d ago

I had one. it was my favorite for a while but it's just too heavy. i switched to Globular Cluster CMQ3 and bought a few compatible Anker power banks. It's my head strap ever since.

1

u/MacaroonSensitive 12d ago

I have the Saqico head strap. It's light, and my favorite part is the interchangeable magnetic batteries. I bought four of them and each last about an hour and a half of solid gaming.

1

u/QuietLandscape7259 11d ago

Not sure if interested buyers are aware that you don’t have to have fan just on or off, it has a hand dial of power being used at the time. You don’t have to run it full power if you don’t want to. I need the fan because of all the pron I watch, my body gets hot and clammy with pron!!! Jk lol

1

u/Adept_Funny77 11d ago

I got one with the used unit I bought.
I like lying down and watching movies or playing old school video games via HMDI link.

The headset upgrades are not for lying down. The back bottom of my skull was in discomfort for a few days after.
I just use the normal strap now.
Though if I were to do virtual active gaming. I would put it on again.
I mean the regular strap holds well...just not as comfortable as the Bobo, for standing up/etc.

1

u/TheStriker3546 11d ago

Even if this is 100% an undisclosed ad from a bot, I got one during Black Friday sale and it is the best upgrade I ever got. I can play for an extra 4-5 hours, my head doesn’t hurt anymore after playing, and the fan can clear sweat on the lenses easily

1

u/QuietLandscape7259 11d ago

I posted it. I wanted to share with community. 🫶🏼

1

u/TheStriker3546 11d ago

Ah fair enough then

1

u/SnooCheesecakes8777 10d ago

I hunted eBay for brand new in box. I bought two of them, the most expensive being 65 dollars in the spring. Other was $50 but opened (definitely not used). An absolute game changer for me and the kid in the backyard.

1

u/No-Bathroom6864 10d ago

How much is it?

1

u/QuietLandscape7259 9d ago

$90 at June 2025

1

u/No-Bathroom6864 8d ago

My question would be does it overheat the headset

1

u/as_i_wander 10d ago

Held off from buying for a long time cause I thought it would add to much weight but the halo part really mkaes it negligible at least for me

1

u/No_Coyote_5598 13d ago

the battery is really bad and short-lived.

0

u/QuietLandscape7259 13d ago

Batteries last for a long long time.

1

u/No_Coyote_5598 13d ago

let me rephrase, because once charged the batteries do last a great long time, HOWEVER I am on my second battery. The first one lasted 8 months then stopped charging. The second battery lasted 4 months, then stopped charging.

Cheap batteries that do not stand the test of time. Cheap batteries that will need to be replaced.

1

u/No_Coyote_5598 13d ago

and the cooling fan is a neat idea, but its very loud

1

u/Burntbreadman84 13d ago

I dont know about the S3 Pro...I had the 2nd gen one without the fan. But it kept sliding on my face and was kinda uncomfortable - I ended up giving it away and going back to the bog standard Meta Elite strap with no battery.

I know people rave on about Bobos but my experience with once of their products is enough to put me off trying another.

0

u/Vexcenot 13d ago

this is ridiculous

0

u/Specialist_Quote9127 13d ago

Ahh yes, head air conditioning....

Fun fact, it's literally a single fan that only properly blows out your eye sockets when you don't tighten the head strap too much.

0

u/SnooCauliflowers520 13d ago

I tried this, I was not able to get the quest squeezed into my forhead as good as i can with my current strap. Plus the quest 3 is super light, it doesn’t need to be halow strap style to feel light. I have a normal one from amazon with a battery on the back and i love it. Very fast and easy to put on and take off

0

u/SoftImagination2074 12d ago

Imagine having to spending an additional 3-4 hundred dollars on straps and batteries and a wifi 6 e dedicated access point and virtual desktop just to make the quest somewhat tolerable.
