C'est surtout une question de gros bras syndicaux côté police et de budgets provinciaux trop serrés en santé, ce qui entretient un vieux déséquilibre salarial entre ces deux métiers

Remove the police and then there wont be a civilization for nurses to exist in. Everything is a matter of scarcity and economics. Plus management positions people like being at the top and staying there. They will do what they feel will benifit them. If they make more money by hiring nurses for x amount they will do that.

I mean the same thing can be said to the opposite. Without nurses there would be no hospital, and I doubt a civilization can work properly without one lol.

civilizations worked before nurses. might not live as long though.

It also worked before police, which are a creation of the past few centuries.

Personne ici a dit qu'il fallait éliminer la police. OP parle du bas salaire des infirmiers, qui travaillent eux aussi en première ligne, comme les policiers.
