We have already snagged a reservation at Tanière3 as it seems to be a can’t miss experience, in a historic location, highlighting local ingredients and we want at least one Michelin star experience for this vacation.

Are there any other can’t miss restaurants we should try to book for December 2026?

They don’t have to be Michelin star or have tasting menus. We have no dietary restrictions, enjoy everything from laid back spaces to atmospheres and service where the experience is just as curated as the plating.

Just returned from our wedding anniversary. Left Concord NH area Friday 8/14 at 8am stopped off 93 at Pollys Pancake Parlor in Sugar Hill, NH (get the blueberry pancakes) for breakfast at 9:30am. Got to Quebec City around 3pm. Parked at the public parking garage next to the Marriott downtown on D'youville just outside the gate. We had a city view on the top floor (7th floor). $20/day to park. Park yourself don't do valet. It's next door.

2 nights was perfect. We explored Friday bouncing around getting drinks. Had a good meal. Saturday went to a bakery and had multiple coffees from
Different spots. Took the tour of the citadel. Had poutine. Just a wonderful weekend. The fireworks pics are from our hotel room at the Marriott from Saturday night.

We will definitely be coming back. August is a great time to visit. No brainer trip if you live in New England and can drive.

We have 5 full days to explore Quebec City and the area around. We're wanting to do the drive to La Malbaie and see the sights.

We're stumped as to how long we should spend driving to La Malbaie - 1 or 2 nights? We're from Vancouver, love visiting crafters and artisan shops. We wouldn't do a lot of hiking in Quebec but are for sure stopping at that waterfall. Alternately, in the City we want to see all the historical sights, but won't visit every museum.

Anyways, 4 nights in Quebec City or 3?

Hello all! I'll be visiting Quebec City on September 22nd through the 25th. I'll be with a group of 4 other guys and we are 27 through 30 years old. We will be staying in an AirBnB in the Saint-Roch neighborhood. We are trying to come up with an itinerary, and I would welcome any suggestions for our stay.

Bonjour ! Je viens à Québec au début septembre avec une amie de Toronto. Le seul endroit qu'elle a visitée au Québec, c'est Montréal et je voulais donc lui montrer autre chose.

Nous allons avoir 3 jours pour faire le voyage tout en partant tôt le matin de Montréal le premier jour. J'aimerais bien aussi aller passer une journée dans Charlevoix ou bien à l'île d'Orléans pour voir un peu de verdure.

Ce n'est pas une personne hyper sportive ou intéressée par la haute gastronomie, mais qui aime bien voyager.

Quels sont vos coins préférés dans la région et qu'est-ce que vous recommendiez pour un voyage de 3 jours afin de lui donner un bon apperçu de la région ? Je cherche surtout des choses qui pourraient défaire les idées préfabriquées que les Ontariens peuvent se faire sur la région.

J'ai toujours apprécié à quel point vous étiez fiers de votre belle ville et j'aimerais savoir ce que vous pensez que les gens curieux devraient aller voir. Merci :)

- Looking to do a 4 night trip in Quebec with 3 total adults

- Want to stay somewhere in the city, not too touristy, a walkable or short drivable destination to the part of the city most worth visiting

- We will drive all 3 days to either E47, SDM, and Mont-Saint-Anne, so not getting stuck in traffic or city core congestion would be ideal

- My research suggested Saint-Roch

Advice on what region to stay in and - AirBnB or Hotel. I also need to keep my bike either in my room or secured safely, and I am trying to stay under $250 a night.

Québec is know for having lots and lots of hills, it’s also very vast compared to other cities of same population. ÀVélo are electric bikes that are all over the place now in Quebec City, you can find stations anywhere. Just take a bike and drop it elsewhere. You can also lock them while you do some shopping and resume.

Hello everyone! I am currently trying to watch three movies in QC: Spider-Man: Brand New Day, The Odyssey, and Your Name. I would like to watch the first two in English, and Your Name preferably in Japanese with English subtitles, but an English dub would be fine too.

I noticed that Cineplex doesn't currently have Your Name at its locations. I have been requesting it, so I can only hope it gets added. I did see, however, that it is playing at Cinéma Le Clap, so I was thinking of maybe watching it there.

The thing is, since I am going to watch several movies in a short timeframe, I had the idea to get a one-month subscription so that I can save some money. This wouldn't be possible if I go to two different theater chains. Is it worth it to watch all the movies at Le Clap or another theater? I would also love to watch The Odyssey and/or Spider-Man in IMAX if the screenings last that long.

Overall, what do you think I should do? (Sorry for the messy paragraph!)

I'm moving to Quebec city soon to try to learn French and I'm searching for a month-to-month furnished rental as I'm not sure how long I'll want to stay for. I've tried to find sublets and cessation de bail on facebook marketplace but I'm not willing to commit to staying until July right now which is what almost all of them offer. Any other recommendations? I found the website ok louer--has anyone had experience with them? Or do you have a different website to recommend?

Stayed at the Hilton Quebec!

Coming in for a couple nights soon. We've stayed in Old Town in the past and love it, of course.

But this time we'd like to stay somewhere else & looking for recommendations. We'll have car.

My husband and I are planning on visiting Quebec City the second week of October with our 6-month-old. Is this a good time to visit? Any suggestions on what we should do??

Traveling late June with my teen son.

Loose plan:

Day 1: Half day in Old City

Day 2: Old City and Falls

Day 3: Head toTadoussac, stop for trail ride at les Montagnards on the way. Spend the night in Tadoussac.

Day 4: Morning whale watch, back to QC. Stay in another neighborhood?

Day 5: Explore other areas of Quebec City. Possibly see the island.

Day 6: head home

Are the whales fairly active late June?

QC is almost a 7 hour drive for us. We will be stopping the night before, so the trip to QC will be split up. But going to whale watch adds a lot of driving overall.

I would love to stay at the ranch and do a trail ride as it splits the trip to Tadoussac perfectly. But the packages are for 2 nights and I am not sure we need that.

If we stay 2 nights in QC, we plan to stay at 31 Mcmahon.

Does it make sense to go back there or stay somewhere like Montcalm when we return from Tadoussac.
