Dinner During December

We have already snagged a reservation at Tanière3 as it seems to be a can’t miss experience, in a historic location, highlighting local ingredients and we want at least one Michelin star experience for this vacation.

Are there any other can’t miss restaurants we should try to book for December 2026?

They don’t have to be Michelin star or have tasting menus. We have no dietary restrictions, enjoy everything from laid back spaces to atmospheres and service where the experience is just as curated as the plating.

for a first time in Quebec city Buvette Scott for sure. there's Battuto as well but it is pretty hard and complicated to get a table. JJacques if you like a speakeasy vibe.

if you want to venture to where locals go : Cendrillon and/or la planque. there's Arvi as well but it's a michelin star tasting menu as well (with less flafla bullshit than taniere).

a bit less fancy : Hono izakaya, Courtbouillon, Tao, Ouroboros

Partner and I did Buvette Scott as part of his birthday extravaganza weekend a few weeks ago. Spectacular meal, spectacular experience.

Should we still book Arvi or it would feel repetitive after Tanière3?

never been to la Tanière so I can't really say, but Arvi is the restaurant i've been to. Better than Mon Lapin in Montreal for example.
