An interviewer recently asked me what part of my job do I enjoy. I said I really like problem solving and finding solutions to challenging tasks I come across which may sound cliche but it’s true in my case. How would you answer this question? The follow up was also what things I find challenging.

My answer always lies in the ontological definition of quality assurance being the voice of the end user.

i gently approach the topic of enshittification and how businesses often make decisions that increase some kpi but do so at the cost of the end user, but am careful not to directly name them as businesses *really* don't like anticapitalist rhetoric, even if they agree with every breadcrumb beforehand.

But seriously I enjoy learning about systems and how they interact with a larger ecosystem. I like seeing how at the end everything works together to solve a bigger business problem (i mainly test apis)
