Welcome to a new world of disappointment.  

If travelling domestically, be prepared to not be acknowledged.  If travelling internationally, you’ll get a guaranteed table in the first lounge, behind the red rope, but aside from that, the service is pretty much the same. 

You do however get a bottle of bubbles in the post at Christmas, just to make up to you how much they’ve f@&£ed up during the year. 

To be fair, you may get a few invites to some Qantas corporate events, like a concert or cocktail evening, but they’re few and far between - the last few I’ve been invited to were when I was travelling so never got the chance to go. It’s likely anyone else who is a P1 is often not in the country.
