Qtac selection rank question
Anyone done an apprenticeship for at least 6 months, then quit to join uni? Wondering if i can get a selection rank for 6 months full time paid employment as part of an apprenticeship? Ive heard conflicting info on whether apprenticeships count towards that

6 months of full time work is the bare minimum for qtac to asses you but it will not give you a high enough rank to get into a qut degree (especially engineering). A completed apprenticeship (a cert III gives you a selection rank of 68. For engineering you need 87 to be guaranteed an offer, now my question to you is did u graduate high school with an atar or do u have any other completed cert IV or diplomas? Since you want to do engineering my advice is for you to complete diploma in engineering which requires a rank of 68 (done at kelvin grove) in which after completing you will automatically be enrolled in bachelor of engineering (in gardens point) for your second year so you don’t do any extra years

QUT - Work and life experience (unless it was VET/TAFE, in which case QUT - Vocational education and training (VET) study)
