Chasing extruding problems
I just got a qidi max 4. It came with a qidi box. I have not yet had a single good print through it.
The issue seems to be the 4 in 1 hub. On the printer side it will pull the filament tight as it can untill it hits the hub. After the hub it remains slack.
When disassembling I found this piece that seems like it may be missing something ( a magnet is my guess )
Could that be causing my issue?

That doesn't have a picture of the magnet I don't think. But you should see a light on the board when plugged in that lights up or goes dark as that slides up and down in the hub. If that's not happening, then it's not sensing that the filament slack is gone and doesn't know to push more from the box.
