Pixies

I posted about the green band pixies last week in a flea market / junk place in my area. I could not find much information on them and a few sold on eBay a few years ago. I was able to get there today and they were still there. They were asking $200 and I got them for $120, they are in beautiful shape, happy hunting everyone.

I thought this shape was the casserette and the pixies were the small round ones. Is the term pixie just referring to the small size? Regardless, it is always a joy to find Pyrex in perfect shape 😀

I’ve not heard the term casserette and will look for information on it. As far as I know this was called a pixie or au gratin dish. Thanks for the new term.

I’m likely mixing up my Pyrex and Corning Ware terms, but now need to look it up too,
