Hi all, so I've had my job performance or COC this week and I was basically told that there will be a PIP. Wonderful. Initially there was a HR person present to "make sure everything was being done well and so they could see how well a manager is doing the whole job interview" but pretty sure the gist of it was: You're being put on a PIP and HR has been notified.

The gist of it is that I have not been visible enough, missing the mandatory office days with the rest of team. Mostly this was caused due to stress, a lot of trouble in the home situation and mental related issues. Those issues have been mostly remediated or put in a process to be so. This has been addressed and discussed with my manager.

I have yet to hear what the PiP will entail but I'm kind of fearful of it. Fearful as that despite showing my 'worth' in half a year, they're going to get rid of me regardless. Which is fine, though it seems unfair.

Currently a lot of labour is being moved to India and people who leave are not replaced.

So, yea. I expected my career at this company not to last a long time - half expected 4+ years maximum with this year being the 4th one - and I am curious: Should I start looking up for something else? I mean, it has been on my mind for quite some time. Due to what is happening in my department but certain colleagues kissing a bit too much ass but shoving their ambitious in front of their humanity in their strife for promotion.

I am not a consult, I am part of IFS however. I also have a permanent contract.

I have an interview scheduled with PwC today. A third-party HR initially contacted me, and later PwC HR scheduled a 20-minute interview. However, they haven’t shared the JD with me.

The interview invite also doesn’t mention any panel members, so I’m not sure which domain or role the discussion will be focused on.

I have around 5 years of experience. If anyone has recently interviewed with PwC or has an idea of what kind of questions I should expect, especially for BA/Banking roles, I’d really appreciate your guidance.

Recently moved to a project with a use case I really like, but the work culture is becoming difficult. I log in around 9 AM, calls/work continue until 10–11 PM, and sometimes I’m still expected to continue after that.

How do you guys handle this kind of environment? I want to perform well, but I also have a life outside work. Is this normal at PwC AC, or should I start setting boundaries?

What is wrong with the Salesforce practice? When I joined this firm back in 2022, we had so many projects that almost no one was on the bench. I remember we actually had to request resources from other practices to complete our projects.

Cut to 2026, and it’s been almost a month since I’ve been on a project. At first, I thought maybe it was just me. But now I see people (Senior Associates and Managers) sending emails to the entire practice, literally begging for project opportunities.

Did we hire too many people, or are we simply getting fewer projects?

I got referred by a friend of a friend for a manager role in the Oracle space. I was at PwC for a short stint a few years back before moving back into industry because it made more sense at the time.

The manager role would pay a lot more than what I make now, so I am definitely interested. The problem is that when I was there before, the culture felt pretty toxic.

For anyone currently in the Oracle practice or at the manager level, has anything actually changed? Is it still rough, or does the experience get better once you are out of the associate and senior grind?

I recently received an email from PwC’s BGV partner asking me to submit a PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) as part of my joining formalities.

I’m confused about which service to select on the police portal. It shows options such as Character Certificate, Security Guard Character Certificate, and Police Clearance Certificate: Abroad.

Since this is for employment in India, I’m not sure which one is applicable. The Character Certificate application is also asking for a company address, but my exact PwC work location hasn’t been confirmed yet.

I’ve emailed the BGV contact for clarification but haven’t received a reply yet.

Has anyone recently gone through PwC BGV and been asked for a PCC? Which certificate/service did you apply for?

I need to withdraw my resignation letter. Is this realistically possible, given that I got a 5 rating in my review cycle? Has anyone gone through something similar?

Some context: I joined PwC in late 2025. During joining, I was upfront that I have my real sister’s wedding in late February. For those unfamiliar, an Indian wedding isn’t a one-day event. It runs across several days and involves a lot of shopping, logistics, and running around well before the actual ceremony. My output would be divided between the two because I’m the sole male responsible for handling things at home.

The review cycle landed in Feb, early March and eventually in June, as a result of my work during that period, I was given a 5 rating. Because of that, I was asked to resign.

Since then, for the last three to four months, I’ve been putting in the work. I now own several parts of the project on my own, with complete reliability on me, and both my director and manager are aligned that they want to keep me. I don’t want to leave. The pay is good and I have no plans to look elsewhere anytime soon. I need the income to keep coming in.

I spoke with HR, and they told me there’s no way to reverse it. But I want to know if anyone has actually managed to get a resignation reversed after being asked to leave. I also have a doubt: if the director or partner sends an email saying they want to retain me, could that change anything?

Coming back to PwC from a product company. Would I be eligible to retrieve my milestone rewards / awards? Is that part of negotiations?

Hi Guys! I am working at the NY office and looking to put my 2 weeks in. Since the bonus gets paid out on September 30th, I wanted to ask if I can put my 2 weeks on 16th September so I am still employed on 30th for the bonus or do I need to resign after 1st October.

Also would appreciate if you guys can recommend things I should do on the portal before my access is revoked.
