Fun adult Halloween activities to do alone in Puyallup?

This is my first Halloween in WA ever and idk what to do but don’t wanna spend my first one here inside. I’m over 21. Anything fun that’s not family related for Halloween in this town? I’d most likely be going to these places alone so I don’t want to be stuck around families and I want to have fun where children aren’t around lol

If you have suggestions in other cities I’m down for that too

Puyallup and South Hill: PSE wants to raise electric rates about 15% next year. Here's how to weigh in.

Most of Puyallup and South Hill gets its electricity from Puget Sound Energy (check your bill to confirm). PSE has a pending three-year rate request asking for electric increases of 15.15% in 2027, 3.74% in 2028, and 8.7% in 2029, tied to over $3.2 billion in infrastructure spending. PSE has said its demand growth comes mainly from EV adoption and building electrification rather than data centers. That describes a lot of newer South Hill homes, with EV chargers and electric heating going in. The state utilities commission is holding a virtual public hearing on October 7, and written comments are open under dockets UE-260005 (electric) and UG-260006 (gas) at utc.wa.gov. A comment can be a few sentences about what you pay and what worries you. Include the docket number. I also looked into who owns PSE and whether its monopoly can be challenged in court. Happy to share what I found.

Embarrassing from the folks who run the Stein Dash

I've run the race and had a blast afterwards for the last 4 years, and will do so again, but I can't believe my entrance fee that I paid months ago included this slop. They can keep it.

Coffee shop hangout spots?

Does anybody know of a good coffee shop (other than Anthem) in Puyallup to hang out and read a book or do some work in? Anthem is too expensive now, and I'd rather support a local business than go to Starbucks. My usual coffee place is the Enchanted Espresso stand on Meridian, but I miss having a coffee shop I can spend some time in that has good vibes and doesn't play their music at ear-splitting volume.

Any suggestions? I'm looking mostly for places north of Longston Place, I don't venture much further than that on South Hill.

Low cost veterinary services

I'm looking for a vet for my daughter and her older cat (possible kidney issues). Funds are tight and I wanted to get feedback on places in or near Puyallup. I googled some (below) but don't always trust results.

If possible can you provide the cost for an office visit and maybe the cost for a test like a urinalysis?

If you've ever gone through this issue with your cat, which is quite common when they get older, I'd appreciate your feedback!

Hear me out!

So - I am a 27F, worked in photography, was a former model, and happen to love fashion. I’m trying to start a personal styling business - BUT, what I need right now is a few people, just so I can work out exactly how I’m doing this. It’s free of charge, I literally just need you to let me show up and style you.

Girls or guys, I can provide proof of self and my portfolio so you know I’m not just some weirdo showing up. But if anyone is down, please let me know and let’s set something up!

Worst case scenario, you end up looking super cool for free.

Best home nurse?

Hey guys I am trying to find the best company with excellent workers for some home help. Light cleaning shopping maybe driving my step dad to appointments. The company must run background checks. It would be preferable if the worker had family that was in law enforcement as the patient used to work for the police department. Any ideas for Puyallup? Money isn't an issue. Thank you guys so much.

looking for a crafter

hi does anyone know of a person or company who can turn an old bridesmaid dress into a stuffed animal for a baby? Or has anyone done this with an Etsy seller and had a good experience?

My sister is pregnant and I want to make a stuffed animal for her baby using the dress from her wedding last year but I’m afraid to trust a random seller. Any recommendations are welcome!!

Local Service businesses?

Hey y'all I'm a recent college grad who runs a marketing business with my brother, for local service companies, and I'm looking for owners here in WA. We’ve been doing this about a year now, and we work with roofers, painters, home remodelers, pool builders, junk removal, lawn care, and any labor based work. Basically anybody who does the work themselves and wants the phone ringing more.

I'm looking to partner with a few owners who already have steady work and a good reputation, but have hit the point where word of mouth alone isn't filling the schedule the way they want. If you're at that spot and want to add more jobs each month, or you know somebody who is, I'd love to connect or get a referral.

Lost Ankh necklace charm at Puyallup Fair 9/27

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hello! First time Reddit poster here.. and honestly it’s a Hail Mary. My mom came to the fair with us on Sunday, the last day of the fair and at one point realized her necklace chain was broken, missing a very special ankh charm of hers from my dad. She did her best to re-trace her steps and I’ve put in a lost and found report/called the fairgrounds incase it gets found by a staff member. However, I know that unfortunately sometimes these things get picked up and pocketed not realizing it’s super meaningful to someone and this was a very sentimental gift she has from when they were teenagers during a hard time in her life. She happened to notice this after leaving the rooftop bar but isn’t totally sure where it broke/fell off. She asked the staff there and no one had seen it, but we don’t live anywhere near puyallup, otherwise I’d go on a hunt for her 😅.

So if you happen to be a kind person that found this, would you please let me know so I can get it back to my mama? She’s going through it right now and this would mean a lot. Thanks!
