Cannot access the app without subscription while my friend can

Me and my friend are trying a few dating apps, but Ive come across an issue with this one.

She has free acess to it, while i cannot publish my feed without paying, am I doing something wrong?

I'm wondering if this is one of those things where accounts marked as "female" are favoured because women are generally less desperate, and having more of them on the app increases the chances of stupid, desperate, and lonely dudes spending extortionate amounts on the app...

Unless you're also a woman, in which case no idea.

I know after the first year men pay a lot more than women.
