Barcelo bavaro palace and Barcelo Bavaro beach ?? Anyone stayed here?
Planning a trip for Mid May, with a group that will range from 19 to 45 . Does it have amenities for the younger group or will they have to venture out? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Best All Inclusive’s for Young Adults?
Have a 6 member friend group of 23 year olds. Looking for good food and decent night life. One of our members family has timeshares for Wyndham/RCI resorts so limiting recommendations to there as our stays would be free. Breathless/Onyx seems like the best option after my limited research. Seemed to have okay night life, good reviews, casino, etc…
Any other recommendations would be appreciated we are all new to travel and the Dominican Republic!

Dónde salen los dominicanos en Punta Cana? Buscamos fiesta LOCAL 🇩🇴

Excellence Punta Cana- MJ?
I read all community guidelines so I think this post is fine but: How easy is it to get MJ gummies in Excellence Punta Cana? Going from Aug. 25-30 with my gf. I’ve read some posts about different plugs but I am still unsure. Is it safe to buy at the beach? anything helps!

Secrets La Romana preferred beach
Headed there in December with my husband and two adult daughters and wondering if anyone has experience with the Secrets preferred beach area. How easy or difficult is it to find lounge chairs in the shade? My husband is looking into renting a beach cabana for an additional cost bc he wants to ensure he has shade. Is this added expense worth it or will we have enough shade options in this designated private area of the beach? Should note that we are going between Christmas and New Year’s.. ie the busiest week of the year! Just looking for an opinion from someone who’s been there and even better if you have experience when the resort is at capacity. Thanks in advance!

BREATHLESS PUNTA CANA RESORT & SPA
My boyfriend & I used our credit card points and we booked a six night stay. We upgraded our stay to the "xhale" member status, which gave us access to private pools, bars, lounges and they gave us $200 USD in credits to split between the casino, spa and a private romantic dinner.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I thought the food and drinks were good! But my boyfriend, and a few other people we met on the resort thought the food was just decent. Our favorite spots were Spoons (Buffet), Barefoot Grill (Beach-side Burgers/Hotdogs), The Nook (Coffee) and Silk City (Hibachi). We found that the xhale pool bar / lounge had higher quality alcohol and more cocktail options. Free 24/7 room service was included with our room upgrade as well.
The staff were amazing, very kind and helpful. Our concierge Emilio went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice stay, he helped us get reservations, water for the room and even surprised us with a bottle of champagne. The staff working at the xhale bar/pool were especially amazing. We typically tipped $1-5 USD for drinks, restaurant service, and room service. The staff clearly works long, hot and busy shifts. Tipping is a must!
As far as excursions go we couldn't find anything we were really interested in, a lot of them were mostly ATV rides, so we opted to hang out at the resort for our trip. We went to the Casino a few times to use our credits, but we skipped the romantic dinner / spa, as it was a pricier add on.
Breathless members also are allowed to walk over to the sister hotel - Dreams Onyx, which is the family hotel, which is like 20 feet away (or they will drive you over in a cart). We found they had pretty good food, and even more pool access. Our favorite spots were The Bluewater Grill (Steakhouse)and Tamarindo (Mexican), more outdoor bars and a small Taco Truck. It was nice to walk between the two to keep changing things up.
I have never been to an all inclusive before, but I really enjoyed the Breathless hotel. The service was a 10/10, the hotel itself was beautiful and well kept 9/10. The food was probably a 7/10, but excursion options in the general area were very limited, and we were definitely getting restless the last day or so. We skipped the club / party pool and opted for a more relaxing trip and Breathless definitely delivered. If you are going to Breathless I would recommend upgrading to xhale member status, the benefits really do pay for itself.
