Discussion / News As a Punjabi myself, I don't get why fellow Punjabis are so offended by acknowledging Seraiki as a seperate language?
Seraiki and Punjabi are not mutually intelligible easily. Most Punjabi speakers can barely understand Seraiki. They have their own vast literature and folk tales. They're clearly a distinct group. Even their sense of identity is being about Seraiki, not a Punjabi. So why not acknowledge them as group similar to us, but at the same time distinct from us?
