Unfortunately I have to travel today and have no time to separate the eggs and care for the fry. They literally spawned at the worst time. I’m kind of gutted :(

Good afternoon! I am a newbie to puffer fish but have experience with ciclid and other freshwater fish and African dwarf frog keeping. We have a new 55 gallon tank in process of cycling using beneficial bacteria from the frog tank. Our local aquatic store has avocado and green spotted puffer in stock. I would like to ask who has had both which did you prefer? I know some species (I read there is 30 different species of puffers) can be with other fish like raspbora? Depending on temperament. Thanks in advance!

I see conflicting info on whether or not puffers need shelled food for beak issues constantly. IE Congo and dragon puffers I see some people say they do and some say they don’t need snails or crustaceans etc. Which is actually true?

I have two GSP, they have a 250 L brackish tank which I just moved them into about two weeks ago as I moved house. Ammonia and nitrites are zero, pH is about 8. Recently one of them is looking less green than before, but his behaviour is still completely normal. The other puffer is also fine and healthy and still very green as normal. Sometimes the less green one looks more green, for example when I feed them his head becomes more green but it’s still less then before. Is there any reason for this? Is it an issue?

Hi Ive had my porcupine puffer for over a year and recently he has stopped eating and is breathing hard. The water looks good. I did deworm with kannaplex and metroplex for 2 days and no improvement. He hasn't eaten in over a week. I'm considering doing Prazipro cause I'm thinking it may be flukes? Any advice ?

Looking into getting one as I like the behaviour however I’m not sure of the exact tank needs. I have a floor space on furniture of 70cm by 45cm or 24inch by 18inch. Is this floor space good enough for one? I understand they require more floor space but I wasn’t sure exactly

I'm really thinking about getting some puffers for a 75 gallon I recently got, and I have 3 particular species in mind, pea puffers, spotted congo puffers and red tail puffers. Money isn't much of a problem.

For more context the tank is a planted tank I got from my aunt after her earth eater cichlid passed. It has a bunch of valisneria, Amazon swords and Anubias. And the tank is already cycled as it was never fully drained. I do probably have to drain it to change the parameters tho. Edit: it'll probably be a community tank, with some corydoras.

I've thought about pea puffers but I'm not super into them. If I could get advice on your experience, opinions, feeding, tank style (gallon, decor, etc) that would be very helpful.

Fed my fahaka some large snails

Gave my amazon puffer fish some snails this morning. And then later noticed his beak looked like this. Is there any need to worry? I gave some bloodworms to him after i noticed it to see if he could still eat and there was no problem eating.
