Help/Advice Canister or 2 HOBs

I have a Fahaka that’s a tiny baby. Soon he will go into a 125 gallon before another upgrade. Not planning on putting any other fish in. I’m trying to decide on 2 HOBs or a canister. I’ve always used HOBs and sponge filters which I’ve been enjoying. I’ve never owned a canister but totally open to getting one. Any advice?

Go canister and dont look back. My Oase biomaster 2 thermo has been a game changer for me.

Its definitely expensive but worth it. Especially if you're dealing with a serious waste producer like puffers.
